For us nature-lovers, this was a dream accomodation, surrounded by nice forest with lots of birds, monkeys, bushbabies etc. The entrance of the national park is only 200 m away. The room was prepared very nicely with flowers on the bed etc. Hotel staff were extremely nice, calm and very helpful. We tried several local items on the menu in the restaurant, and we simply LOVED the food, which was excellent and reasonably priced. If you dine there, you must try the swahili selection!

There is so much to say about this lovely hotel! The staff members are incredibly kind and always available to assist whenever you need them. They decorated our room for my fiancé’s birthday surprise and even offered us a small bento cake. It was so cute! Regarding the location, the hotel is only about 35 minutes from the airport and close to Paje, but it’s a bit far from the northern part of the island. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and offer a beautiful view of the pool and the beach — especially the Mafia 1 room. The food was delicious, and the scent inside the rooms was simply divine. I was in love with it! Even our clothes came back from the laundry smelling amazing. The spa is cute, and the massage was relaxing — I truly recommend it. The ladies there really know what they’re doing!

Everything was incredible. From The welcoming staff who fetched us at the airport, to the amazing owner and his lovely wife, the cleaning staff, restaurant staff, security, and grounds staff were all simply amazing. Amazing stay. Very private and luxury hotel, probably the best food in Paje. Excellent staff from cleaners to restauraunt management. Proper Zanzibar vibes with Patrick(one of the staff) always good mood and perfect attitude. Everything I experienced during my stay in Samawa was top notch. Also perfect for athletes as hotel offers ice bath, good gym and various healthy foods, smoothies and very very good breakfast.

This was a beautiful place to stay, we spent 7 nights here and loved every minute of it. The property is a short 2-3min walk from the beach. The rooms are large and well furnished with all the basics you would find in a normal hotel/B&B in Europe. The bathroom is very big and the water pressure is really good. Hot water comes on quickly. The bed may be slightly on the firm side, but this didn’t bother us. The next best thing is the food! Breakfast is copious and delicious, but all the other meals are also very well prepared. Everything is fresh and tasty.
