FAQs about hotels in Boston

Where Everybody Knows Your Name

One of the oldest and most historic US cities, Boston is known as "America’s Walking City". In its heart, next to 18th-century Faneuil Hall, is Quince Market - a food haven. In the nearby seaport, you can take a whale-watching trip or dine at one of the many restaurants serving a Boston specialty: lobster with melted butter.

The streets south of the peaceful Charles River in Back Bay are lined with Victorian brownstone houses. At the downtown end of one – Beacon Street – is the Cheers bar, modeled on the 80's sitcom. Opposite is Boston Common, a large park with a bronze sculpture celebrating the book "Make Way for Ducklings". The golden dome of the House of Representatives is by the other end.

The oldest part is Charlestown and streets around the Bunker Hill obelisk still feature old-style gas lamps, though now they are electric. Over in Cambridge, Harvard is the USA’s oldest and most prestigious university. The campus is open to the public, as is Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), whose central point is an emblematic, Pantheon-like building.

Sport in Boston is also a big thing, with the Celtics and Red Sox among the city’s big name teams.

The largest New England city, Boston has the perfect size for walking and cycling. Logan International Airport is connected by public transport to Boston hotels, motels, apartments and B&Bs.

Boston is a beautiful city - and the fall leaves everywhere while I was there made it even more spectacular! It feels safe to walk around and the running routes are magnificent. I always enjoy the green spaces available in the city. Although eating out is very expensive, there is a HUGE choice of restaurants and the food is always delicious. There is very good shopping.

We had a great time following the Freedom Trail.

We had a great time following the Freedom Trail. The Fine Arts Museum was excellent. We spent an entire day finding Atlas Obscura sites, so much fun! We bought a week-long transit pass and used it extensively - Boston's transit is great (I didn't know that Boston's subway is the oldest in the country - check out the Park Street T station for an interesting mural about that). We were only in Boston for a week and were sad to leave. Didn't get to see any sporting events or the Gardner Museum. We could have used at least another week.

Boston: Very interesting city, beautiful old buildings blended with the modern high-rise buildings made for a tasteful skyline and lots of information is available on the history of the city. Roof-top cocktail bars in the Seaport area are great for a younger vibe and we managed to take some nice pics overlooking the harbour. We really enjoyed the narrated bus tours especially the Duck-boat which drove into the Charles River, such a unique experience! The Boston Tea- Party museum, was also great fun and the bakery/tea room was awesome. The food options were great all round, we enjoy all types of food and there was plenty choice. We had good experiences - The Pearl Chinese restaurant was walking distance from our hotel/ very tasty dishes, the staff were very helpful in assisting us choose dishes to share for 4 people. We also enjoyed a Mexican themed pop-up restaurant in Boston Common with live music playing on the long-weekend early October. The Barking Crab is a must visit also in the Seaport area - fantastic food and service, great vibe. Harvard University grounds and Art Museum also great and interesting visit. Aswell as the Quincy Market. The city tour buses were great fun and easy to use to get around town.

it was the first time exploring Boston by bicycles. it was amazing and very comfortable and saved because you have dedicated lines for riding. Than the city was change a lot from last time, with dedicated public spaces with beautiful landscape design, spaces for waking and running much more human. I love Boston for good energy, clean city, and comfort.

There is so much to see and do if you are interested in history which we are. We got the ferry to Salem which was very interesting and the trip was good. We walked everywhere so cannot comment on transport. Plenty of nice places to eat.

We enjoyed seafood at Faneuil Hall, and at a canteen in the harbour. We had a long stroll in Beacon Hill and along the Freedom Trail. We visited MIT and Harvard campuses and went whale watching. I wish we had more time, since it is a very beautiful city.

This place is ultra busy. No matter; I thought the desk staff were outstanding and very helpful when we had a minor crisis to deal with. This is a very convenient hotel for Logan Airport and a free shuttle bus runs every half an hour for most of the day and night. The airport is a short drive away. Clean, comfortable and reasonable value given the hotel prices in the Boston area. We did not use any of the facilities or breakfast. Well recommended for your last night before flying.

Perfect location for the cruise terminal and the site of the Boston Tea Party Museum. Very convenient for the Seaport waterfront. We had been to Boston before and had already seen the Downtown area in great detail and had no need to visit it again. The hotel is very close to many shops, cafes and restaurants but also has its own restaurant which was good and not expensive. The hotel had a good gym and a decent sized swimming pool.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. We love Beacon Hill as a neighbourhood when visiting Boston and we feel this is definitely the best option. We also got engaged very recently and upon notifying staff in advance, they gave us a free room upgrade as well as subtle touches like free prosecco in the room. Safe to say we will absolutely be back!

It was above what we expected in terms of comfort, style and convenient location. The best part was the hotel upgraded our room to a corner room with panoramic view of Boston! It was a wonderful and memorable experience, and also good value for money. Definitely will try to stay there on our next visit.
