FAQs about hotels in Brooklyn

The Giant of New York

Immortalized in popular music, culturally diverse Brooklyn has achieved almost legendary status. On the western end of Long Island, across the East River from Manhattan, this huge NYC borough is so densely populated that if it were its own city, it would rank as the 4th largest in the US!

The borough is connected to Manhattan by 3 bridges: Williamsburg, Manhattan and the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. It's also connected to Staten Island by the lengthy Verrazano Narrows Bridge. Ocean-going liners pass under here before docking at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Red Hook. To the northeast, Brooklyn Bridge Park has some of the best views of the Manhattan skyline, while southeast is the huge Prospect Park.

On one edge is Brooklyn Museum, the country’s 2nd largest art gallery, and just behind is the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens whose cherry trees bloom a vibrant pink. To the east are some hotels near JFK Airport, and there are more in neighboring Queens.

At Brooklyn’s southernmost tip, Coney Island’s historic boardwalk has appeared in several films. Renovations are underway to bring it back to its former glory, and the revamped Luna features a historic wooden roller coaster. Also historic is the northern Greenpoint district with its elegant 19th-century houses.

Cheap Brooklyn hotels are great alternatives to accommodations in Manhattan, so check Booking.com for the best deals.

What Guests Said About Brooklyn:

It was great to experience New York from Brooklyn.

It was great to experience New York from Brooklyn. There were so many cool cafes, bakeries (Radio Bakery, Bakeri) and restaurants. It seems to be a very happening place now and has some great places to explore along the waterfront as well as in their parklands. (Prospect Park was an awesome place to do a bike ride around - on the easy to use electric bikes.) The bridge walks over to Manhattan are a big hit and give a fantastic view and perspective of New York and it's surrounds.

We loved Brooklyn!

We loved Brooklyn! Manhattan was nice to see but it was crazy busy. We stayed in Red Hook and we enjoyed using the ferry’s and subway. We felt safe walking around we found great restaurants and nice people. If we ever come back to New York we will definitely stay in Brooklyn. We loved going to the Brooklyn Bridge Park, Time out market place, Mark’s pizza, The Lobster pound both in Red Hook. Red Hook is within walking distance to the Brooklyn cruise terminal.

Need to stay at more places and explore more around Brooklyn...

Need to stay at more places and explore more around Brooklyn, mainly explored Manhattan rather than Brooklyn so cannot say much for now. Can only say that DUMBO is an amazing place and everyone that can visit there should visit.

Wonderful place to walk around. Food is amazing.

Wonderful place to walk around. Food is amazing. Walking the Promenade is over the op. Go down to the pier and catch a ferry for a terrific Manhattan view. Stop at Governor's Island and tour the old fort. Back in Brooklyn walk along the river catching views of all the converted piers. Loads to see, bring good walking shoes. That Brooklyn Bridge will get you into another world.

A modern boutique feel about the rooms and hotel in general. Loved the styling of the hotel. The little side balcony was a nice touch to the room Good restaurants, bars and bakery were within walking distance from the hotel. Parking was fairly easy out the front and in surrounding streets though you did have to take note of the allowable paring time frames and move the car occasionally. A great area to explore and get some fantastic views of Manhattan and Brooklyn along the shores.

The location is great. Situated close to 3 tube/subway stations in Downtown Brooklyn, easy access to food court at the shopping centre across the small park in front. There are few other options to eat around at reasonable price. It is about 15min walking distance to the Dumbo, a nice area with food court and bars with overlooking to the Brookiyn Bridge and Manhattan.

The hotel is well located for Williamsburg and Brooklyn with easy transportation Lively and the bar has a constant buzz of activity The rooms are interesting as they have the washstand in the bedroom area and no wardrobe space. So you have to “live out of your suitcases “ which are stored under the bed. Ok for 1-2 days but longer and it becomes an issue.
