The town feels like a postcard. 18th century vicitorian on the beach! And everywhere in town was so clean and decorated for fall/Halloween. It was beautiful. We stayed 4 nights and ate at several restaurants/bars. The food was great as well. It had a very northern feel (were from Virginia) lobster rolls, pork rolls, german pretzels etc lots of seafood, but definitelynot exclusive... everything from fine dining to dive bars, also some neat places on the beach with live music, even in the middle of october! Plenty of coffe shops, antique shops, ice-cream shops as well. The town square was a very fun walk as well. We were there to see my son graduate from the USCG academy bootcamp (which is right at the end of the isle in cape may) but the town stole our harts!!!

We enjoyed a great dinner at Grana's.

We enjoyed a great dinner at Grana's. Excellent food and service. We enjoyed the Washington Street Mall. Hemingway's was a great place to go for happy hour. It's inside the Grand Hotel. The Willow Creek Winery is a great place to visit. A beautiful place!

Cape May is a sleepy town with expensive homes and pricey lodging. But it’s overrun like Dizzy World with young couples and their kids. They’re clogging the streets in their cars, their rental bikes, and their rental golf carts. And it’s loud in their restaurants. The ($10 daily) beach is extremely nice and peaceful though. However, my favorite is Wildwood Crest. Easier and safer to use the streets. There’s a low cost shuttle to the Wildwood boardwalk. Many ocean facing, large rooms at much less cost than Cape May. And more convenient restaurants to eat at. Also a free beach!

Cape May, NJ is a charming seaside destination that blends Victorian elegance, coastal beauty, and a laid-back atmosphere. Parking can be tricky—consider walking or biking around town. The Washington Street Mall is a pedestrian, friendly shopping district filled with unique boutiques, candy shops, and local eateries. Dining options range from casual seafood shacks to upscale restaurants.

Breakfast was delicious and the timeframe for it was very generous. Parking situation was very spacious and easy to work with - super appreciated in a place like Cape May! Location was incredible, so close and convenient to downtown and attractions. Staff was very friendly and engaging, it almost felt like being guests at a friend-of-the-family's home. The hallways and room were very bright and even smelled nice.

The hotel is perfectly located across from the beach and I had a beautiful view of the ocean. The room was well equipped with a fridge, microwave and most things you would need. It was also nice and spacious. The staff were amazingly helpful, friendly and kind.
