We made this reservation last minute and we are so glad that we did. We were greeted by Edward who was very welcoming and helpful. The unit was immaculate, bed linen, towels, Delphi, cutlery etc all pristine. We had 5 nights of sleep and felt right at home. The unit is more than ample for a week or more stay and we have no doubt we will stay again on return to USA.

This was my first time at the Sonesta Select Hotel. In fact, the hotel's name was all new to me. Guided by the reviews on booking.com, the great photos of the property and of course the price, I was happy to make an online reservation. I am so pleased I selected this hotel. The property was clean and inviting. The room decor was simple elegant with modern furnishing and amenities such as an ironing board and a good working iron. The staff was excellent. Two thumbs up for the front desk team. I arrived on property approximately 2 hours before check in time and a vacant room was quickly identified and I was allowed to access same early at no extra charge. The hotel's Airport Shuttle was a big plus. As it was my first time in Philadelphia, moreso as a transit passenger, I was more than happy to be picked up promptly by way of a simple call to alert the hotel of my arrival. The Shuttle Driver was very professional and knowledgeable and by way of his quick online intervention on check-out morning, I was able to confirm the correct departure terminal. I was only looking for an affordable place to crash for the night until my next flight but I got a whole lot more..an excellent room at a great price and A-grade hospitality (which included room deliveries). The only missing peice from this fabulous experience was breakfast. You guys should consider adding Continental Breakfast to the package and open the Resturant earlier in the afternoon. Since check-in time is 4:00pm and guests may arrive early and hungry, like myself, the restaurant would be the ideal place to pass the time if room is not ready.     Chester is up and coming.

    Chester is up and coming. It has changed a great deal over the years. It is close to the airport, Philadelphia, New Jersey and Delaware. The perfect stay to connect to all points. The proximity to interstate 95 cannot be beat, as it allows for easy access to various places.

    Staff was not responsive.

    Staff was not responsive. They told us on when we checked in the elevator was not working and that someone was on their way to repair it. When we returned at about 11pm the elevator was still inoperative and again told someone was on their way to repair it. The next morning the elevator was still not working. I asked the desk person what would they do if a handicap person was going to be a guest what would they do. She told me the elevator could probably be used if really needed but was unreliable.

    Dont go there .

    Dont go there . I've stayed at other Candlewood hotels in VA. Whatever you do stay away from Candlewood Chester, PA. The front end desk manger is just as bad as the prison that's across the street from there. Way much better service at the Candlewood in Va .

    I will never in life stay at this hotel ever again I was...

    I will never in life stay at this hotel ever again I was given a dirty room with dirty sheets then when I went downstairs to complain they gave me a second Room with throw up all in his sink.. That was the nastiest thing I have ever experienced in my life. With this Pandemic going on they gave me 2 nasty rooms they are not professional and don't care about the customer safety.

    Customer service needs to be better.

    Customer service needs to be better. The front desk manager I thought needed some work. The girl that checked me in she was nice and courteous. I wanted a king size room but ended up getting a queen size room because they didn’t have the room available. The microwave didn’t work but was offered a different room. I have a disability so it’s not so easy for me to up and move everything to a different room. It was all coffee grounds in the coffee maker when we went went to go make coffee. Won’t be back…

    Would not recommend this hotel to anyone after the...

    Would not recommend this hotel to anyone after the experience our family has had from the shake down check in..asked for $150 deposit after pre payment online... had to change rooms to find a clean ones .. had management walk in on my female relatives and wouldn't let cleaning a window be done after we check out! Grateful we didn't learn of that until we're home! Nasty is best way to describe the situation and most of the rooms! No repeat customers!

    My room was comfortable, a huge bed, also quite comfortable. I wanted something close to the airport as I was leaving the following morning. For one night stay, it was good. Being on a corner, there was an accident outside the hotel, in the evening, Ambulance, Police and Fire sirens all going until they arrived.

    Confortable bed, big room, good facilities. Shower working fine, great breakfast. Location is a little far from Philadelphia, but is is ok by car. Parking lot is free and also there are available parking spots in the street in front of the hotel. Quiet place.
