I spent three very comfortable days and nights staying at this Super 8 motel in Martinez, CA. Everything was excellent; I was very pleased with my accommodations. The room was exceptionally clean, the bed was quite comfortable, and the ADA-compliant safety bars were perfect, both by the commode and inside the shower. The housekeeper and manager were very courteous and polite and very responsive to my needs for fresh linens, and the manager quickly restored my television channel when the cable went out. Every business we visited was really great and everyone was very warm and friendly. The food hall has something for any cuisine choice- Souly Vegan was the best! Del Ciello Brewing had great live music and the best empanadas I've ever eaten. Great waterfront park to walk, and a historic wooden bridge. This booking was a fraud.
This booking was a fraud. I searched for accommodations close to Muir Woods, on the penninsula, and this option popped up deceptively touting its closeness to something called Muir Park. I only learned the truth when I plugged in directions. I tried to cancel but was rebuffed by the property owner and got no help from Booking.com either. I won't use Booking. com again and I will recommend not doing so to anyone I know. As for staying at the property - not a chance.Guest review bywarren - 2.0
The customer service was terrible.
The customer service was terrible. They charged me $300 for a deposit when they were only supposed to charge 100. They charge my card two extra times and I still haven’t got my money back they are thieves. I had to call the police department out and they came out and try to help me resolve it. The manager was extremely rude and said I would have to wait for my refund and tell the police got there then she stepped up and did what she had to do, but still have not received my money.Guest review byElizabethUnited States - 10.0

Martinez, at least the old town has many shops and restaurants. It also has a train station where you can catch Amtrak. Parking in old town is a little tough though. We got great Greek food at Troy restaurant on Main Street!Guest review byRichardUnited States
