I have been going to NYC for 76 years (since I was 7 years old). Central Park deserves to be a Unesco World Heritage site. No matter how many times I walk in it I find it magical. The food is outstanding. My favorite is Chinese food in Chinatown. Ground zero is an essential site to visit.

My first time on my own in New York.

My first time on my own in New York. A little daunting but exciting too. From the moment I arrived I loved it. The impossible traffic, horns blaring even though there is no way any one can move, Vehicles huge and small at all angles on intersections, Somehow it sorts itself. Taxis arrive and drop me off on time. Pre booked, organised tours and the Hop on/off bus helped me see so much! I loved the bagels, street corner pizza and the excellent strong coffee. Last minute tickets enabled me to see two Broadway shows. Times Square at night lived up to its reputation for brilliant lights and excitement. The National Museum of Natural History, magnificent 9 11 Memorial, Greenwich Village small restaurants, Central Park .... so many wonderful places to visit. I too love New York!

We mostly walked around the city, which was safe and interesting, getting to know different neighbourhoods and discover places to visit and eat. The subway was helpful to get between the more distant districts and we found it to be clean, safe and excellent value for money. We only had a couple of bookings made in advance, to tour NBC Studios, see the recording of a TV show, visit the observation deck of the Empire State Building and see an off-Broadway show. The rest of the time we were happy to see what we found along the way, including lunches and dinners, the variety of which is enormous. Our visit coincided with Halloween, which was a far bigger celebration event than we are used to and it turned into a highlight of our stay, seeing almost everyone dressed up, candy being handed out and people in a friendly mood.

Safe and nice city with great transportation system.

Safe and nice city with great transportation system. No discrimination to Asian women. We loved our walking experience in the city and spent time in the beach in Dumbo. We had a lovely dinner in Dallas restaurant Times Square. We enjoyed shopping and eating at different restaurants and fast food.

Felt very safe for 2 females.

Felt very safe for 2 females. We walked miles and used the subway day and night. So much to see! We did Hop on, Hop off, open top bus tour, Empire State Building, 9/11 Memorial, museum and One World Observatory and Summit One Vanderbilt. All booked about a month before with Viator. We walked over the Brooklyn Bridge to DUMBO, took the Staten Island free ferry to see Statue of Liberty, went to Bryant Park, Rockerfeller Centre, 5th Avenue, Maceys, NY Public Library, Ellen's Stardust Diner, and had a pedicab tour of Central Park. New York was amazing.

This hotel is perfectly located, close to the Central Park, Broadway, Times Square and subway stations. We were a bit concerned with noise prior to our arrival, but the kindly staff gave us a room facing back and it was really quiet (for New York). We were pleasantly surprised by this. Friendly staff members like miss Karina, Miss Nancy and the Paris borne gentlemen that makes perfect espresso coffee made our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in midtown either alone or with family.

The hotel is very well located, 2 min. from Times Square, near an Irish bar, a Starbucks and another place with nice and cheap food ( Cook Eatery). The hotel is quite stuck in time with old furniture. The room is clean but basic, so don't expect a fridge or kettle inside. All the staff is very nice but Joe from reception is the best. Such a lovely person, agreeable and full of useful information. If you want to be in the middle of the action, this is the right place for you!

Great location in Manhattan, close to Times Square and well connected to the rest of the island for a trip to NYC. Close proximity to 9th avenue so plenty of good options. Staff was extremely helpful. We only stayed one night but would definitely recommend the location and hotel if you need a good location for exploring the city.

The location is great, about 20 minute walk from Times Square. Five-ten minutes walk to subway station. Incredibly comfortable bed, clean room, and the staff very nice and friendly. Hotel is on the more expensive side, but still one of the cheapest options in Manhattan.

The location is right at Times Square in Midtown Manhattan. But the hotel itself is very old school. No facilities that modern hotels have. Bond45 & Friedmans are the bar & restaurant which are fairly good.
