Agulhas is a quiet beautiful little town with wonderful places to eat and visit. The people of Agulhas are friendly and the sea view is lovely, lots of walking paths and an animal friendly environment. The southernmost point of Africa where the two oceans meet and it is part of the National Parks Council.You'll discover fascinating ecological habitats, shipwrecks, national monuments and signs of ancient settlements in this nature conservation area.

The Lighthouse museum is a must to visit, as is the Africa...

The Lighthouse museum is a must to visit, as is the Africa map at the southernmost tip - hopefully they will cover it in brass as it's degrading. A sunset walk was beautiful in the evening, and the tidal pools warm for swimming.

Surprisingly pleasant, once you orientated yourself harbour in middle, long sandy beach on one side and lighthouse on extreme other, We saw buck on side of the road one evening below the lighthouse, splendid 😀

Cheryl and Alan are wonderful hosts. Tea and coffee on arrival. Quick run down of local attractions. Cheryl booked supper for us. Very comfortable room - everything that we needed was available and in good working order. Breakfast was delicious. Such a lovely couple, really welcoming and helpful.. Would totally recommend a stay here. Would gladly have stayed for longer🙂

The place was so close to the beach which is what I love, to be as close to the sea as possible. The Lighthouse was also a walk away and it was so easy going up the 71 steps to the top to enjoy the beautiful view. It was just unfortunate that we had bad weather and was not able to do all the things we planned to do. Theres a Parkrun every Saturday.

Beautiful little town, the weather was unfortunately cold and rainy but we still walked around and visited the Southern most tip of Africa. I see there is many tidal pools. Lovely restaurants with good food. The city was very clean and had everything you need for a stay. Good shop and even a pick N pay liquor store. We will be back in summer

Tides’ Song exceeded all our expectations. Oom Piet and tannie Strepies are the perfect hosts. The apartment is well furnished and it includes quality linen and towels. We enjoyed great coffee with the Bialetti mokka pot with the complimentary breakfast goodies such as a ciabatta with eggs, youghurt and muesli. Thank you for a wonderful time in Agulhas.

Lighthouse stay is near the Agulhas reserve and obviously the lighthouse; walking distance from the restaurants The rooms are very comfortably laid out and sitting outside on the deck, gives you a view of the sea The parking area for the guesthouse links up to parking for the shops across the road - a really nice way of accommodating people
