I don't even know where to start. The owner was an amazing host - we got to meet him upon arrival. I loved the room and how spacious it was. It was great for my family and two young kids. The breakfasts and lunches were delicious as well. I also loved how carefully curated the art was. Everything was beautiful and I will stay there each time. We honestly never wanted to leave the little oasis in Cotonou.

Karls Guesthouse was perfect for our extended stay in Cotonou. The room was a good size, clean, with a comfortable bed and nice desk to work at (the small, colorful birds visiting the garden outside the window was an added bonus). The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals at home. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is safe and several nice restaurants, cafes, and shops are nearby. We hope to be back one day!

The options and pricing were really clear as well as the times. He made the transfers to and from Ganvié really easy. The staff were lovely. The food was great. It was a nice location outside the centre of town. Other hotels seemed more in the town where it was noisy. It's a unique experience and Germain's is the best place to do that.
