Guest reviewI had an excellent stay at Lodge du chateau. The Lodge is ideally located in the heart of Gonder, close to the main touristic spots. The breakfast was fantastic, with local food. I also wish to say that the service was top, and a special thanks to Simon’s hospitality who will give you all the information necessary to organise your visit of Gonder.

Birhan made all the arrangements perfectly about our transfer from the airport , the visit to the unique churches and our meals. The hospitality we had was memorable! The owner so gentle and hospitable. Definetely we recommend it for anyone that wants to visit Lalibela!

Guest reviewGreat value within 10 minutes of all the churches. Quiet stay. I hadn't booked anything in advance, but they came to pick me up at the airport to my surprise and helped me coordinate everything. I would definitely suggest staying here for a more authentic experience.

Also, make sure to visit Alem Elfegn/ዓለም እልፍኝ for an enjoyable experience with Ethiopian traditional food, coffee, tej/ጠጅ, and the addition of Ethiopian traditional music and dances/እስክስታ. The location is perfect, and all the staff members were kind, providing wonderful service during our stay.
