Words cant describe how we felt but i ll try me best. Everything was amazing, you don't come here to stay in a hotel you come here to stay with your fijian family. I've never met such welcoming and loving people. We extended our stay just because it was too hard to say goodbye and we were not the only ones who decided so. They sing and dance every night and treat you as they treat their family. The activities are super fun, we were swimming with up to 15 sharks, spear fishing and hiking to watch the sunrise. On Sunday they invited us to their church service which was such a nice experience. The food is really tasty and always fresh and they always have some traditional dishes, not to mention the kava ceremony. The location is superb, the reef is colourful and full of fish and is right in front of the hotel. We had tears in our eyes when we had to leave.....

Good location and has everything

The Fiji orchid was a dream! A perfect accommodation on the main island. Remote, beautiful and lush. The bures exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff and grounds were fantastic. Excellent food and service all around. It was very special! Not close to much, so we rented a car which was helpful. The staff are excellent at arranging rides if needed. You’ll be well looked after.

We felt so welcome here as a family with two small children. Very peaceful and quiet place and very personal. And they have the most wonderful staff. Can’t Express that too much. They made our stay unforgetable and made us wanting to come back. So tasty food and perfect coral beach. Only sad thing was we had to leave.

The staff were phenomenal, they were always cheerful, friendly and helpful; definitely the best asset of Sofitel Fiji Resort. The pools, restaurants, bars and facilities were also exceptional.

It’s in the heart of city Comfortable, 24/7 room service

I really appreciate that the staff are so helpful and friendly and could answer any of my questions. I originally booked for one night and ended up staying three. Suitable location for me to drive to family then come back to the room again. The food is great too with tasty vegetarian options when I didnt want to eat meat. My room 207 is perfect as it is at the end of the row and upstairs. Lots of parking too - thank you. Choice music selections too.

As a fan of old, historical hotels, I really enjoyed my stay here. My spacious room had everything I needed—good mattress, shower; the TV even had Netflix and the WiFi worked fine. The grounds are lovely. Dinner isn’t from a menu, but tell them earlier in the day what you want. I had fish, which was delicious. The best part of staying here was the super friendly and genuinely kind staff. They couldn’t have been nicer.

We used the Gateway Hotel as a base for day trips, and extended trips to the islands. It was brilliant - we were able to leave our suitcases in the hotel when away for extended trips, and all the day excursions collected us from outside the hotel. We had the deluxe room which was really comfortable & spacious. Really good value for money.
