The Iraqi Kurdistan region in the north is also worth exploring, defined by its waterfalls, mountains and natural springs. The area offers plenty of opportunities for hiking amongst these sights, as well as the large lake of Dokan and the ancient cave paintings at Gondik.

Superb five star boutique hotel, recently opened. Modern hotel with all you need, even brand new saunas, turkish bath, massage room, jacuzzis, gym etc. Breakfast is fantastic and delicious, served in a real Kurdish way in their fine dining restaurant next door. Everything here is exceptional and quite exclusive. Thanks to the managers and all the staff for receiving us in such a kind and special way. We strongly recommend it!
