The house was simple but well-designed, with modern and comfortable rooms. We found the tatami room very comfortable too. In the evenings we enjoyed drinks at their homely dining room. Beautiful very aesthetic new boutique hotel on a nice little street, very close to the omicho market and walkable distance from Kanazawa castle and station. The staff were so lovely and we loved all the little extra touches eg bath salts and dango on arrival, the free coffee/tea/juice station, the interior clothes in the bedroom.

The location is beautiful, also the room with the private onsen. The breakfast was outstanding. It's a nice plus the happy hour with drinks and snacks.

We initially booked a standard room at Hotel Muso Kyoto, but it turned out to be quite small. When researching prior to our stay, we filtered reviews specifically for room size, and many mentioned that the rooms were large and comfortable. While the standard room is indeed on the smaller side it is very nice, we discovered that all other room types are spacious, modern, and well-appointed. Ryo's customer service was exceptional. He went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, offering us a larger room, which we gladly paid an extra for. The new room was everything we hoped for—spacious, stylish, and extremely comfortable. Overall, our experience was very positive, thanks to the excellent service and the quality of the room. I would recommend opting for a larger room if space is a priority for you.
