Rika and Gareth made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was outstanding and provided us with the fuel to hit the slopes during the day. The Accomodation is modern and roomy by Japanese standards. The location is a short walk to the Kitanomine gondola (we are snowboarders and prefer to walk as part of our warm-up). Alternatively, you can catch a lift if you want! Rika is Furano born and speaks excellent English. She and her husband were also happy to teach us some Japanese and share/explain local customs.

Everything! The reception staff welcomed us warmly, we also reserved japanese breakfast and we’re muslims so they were very cooperative and they had the best japanese breakfast we had in japan. The location is perfect as it is a walking distance from higashiyama. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone coming to kyoto

My mother and I took a trip to Kyoto for her birthday, and Hotel Muso went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They even decorated the hotel room and left us some champagne to celebrate. The hotel manager was so personable and helped make this a trip my mother will never forget.
