Very nice and helpfull staff. Great location and nice accommodation. We also enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant. Gladly again!

The location is beautiful, also the room with the private onsen. The breakfast was outstanding. It's a nice plus the happy hour with drinks and snacks.

Lovely, spacious ryokan. Very clean, great breakfast. Little bit removed from Myoko Onsen village (10-15 minutes walk) but very close to Myoko Kogen lift area. A pleasure to stay!

It was the highlight of our trip to Japan! We had an amazing time. The staff were wonderful, they made sure we had an amazing experience. I can’t fault anything. We will definitely be back. We also loved that we can hear the waterfalls from our room and it felt so peaceful!

We loved the vibe, the architecture, the 1930s interior design, the service, the room - every aspect was phenomenal. We really appreciate how accommodating the staff were with our late arrival and how they went the extra mile to make our stay feel special.

This is a great place for a basic and peaceful stay surrounded by nature. The scenery is lovely and it's a good location to see Yamaguchi as it's very central. The owner Saki is an absolute angel who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and even helped us out by accompanying us to the police station to report a minor traffic accident (a legal requirement in Japan). Our whole experience at Himawari Guesthouse was so charming and memorable, I would definitely recommend it or stay there again!

We loved this little hotel and the great hospitality they are offering. It is a unique combination of Japanese traditions and modern lifestyle that gives you perfect comfort. Bed was super comfortable. Room was pretty big and specious. Bathroom had both bath and shower and was very modern and well designed. There were great cosmetics available as well as toiletries like toothbrush, toothpaste, and pretty much everything you might need during your stay. We had a room with a Japanese garden style patio which was amazing, so pretty and such a pleasure to admire. The room was very quite. Our room was cleaned and tidied daily. Staff was very nice and friendly. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and will definitely recommend this hotel to others!

We stayed 5 nights at the Miru and only have good things to report. The location could not be any better, close to public transport, the central, market and Gion, but tucked away in a quiet street with a host of great dining and shopping options nearby. The room was comfortable and very spacious by Japanese standards, with a king size bed, sofa and large bathroom. Everything was tidy and clean. There was even a laundry room that guests could use free of charge. A real plus after 10 days of traveling. Last but not least, the staff were lovely and so very helpful. It was a real pleasure to come back each evening after long days of sightseeing. The Miru has a small boutique hotel feel, but matches comfort standards of much larger (and more expensive ) hotels. Great value for money.

Beautiful hotel in the center of Kyoto. Authentic and lovely.
