Very beautiful, traditional hotel with very friendly staff. Big cozy rooms, with an amazing hot tub. An awesome experience, and being located in Gion, it truly feels like diving into traditional Japanese culture.

Near Hemije only 30mins away on local JR train, so convenient for visiting Hemije castle. This is a truly authentic Ryokan in a small town. The town is unremarkable, but the rooms and the meal was absolutely Fantastic, and perhaps the most authentic experience of a Ryokan we had over a 16 day trip in Japan. I would definitely recommend and i hope one day myself to return.

We had an amazing time. Upon arriving you get a welcome snack, in the evening between 8-9:30 pm they also serve free udon noodle soop. The rooms are beautiful, the staff very nice.

Good hospitality, hotel staffs are extremely helpful and proactive. Given a complimentary ride to metro station and sending us to OCAT bus terminal early in the morning. The hotel provides complimentary beverages which is a plus point and there is a pool table & massage chairs to relax after a long day.

Absolutely everything! Beautiful room, super spacious. Extremely helpful and kind staff and a great location! Also great we could get breakfast delivered to our rooms every morning. No complains at all. We will be back every time we visit Kyoto :)

A truly outstanding five-star hotel. Flawless...

Boutique luxury hotel in Hakone. I believe there are only 9 rooms in total. Brand new and stunning. The room is fantastic - decent size, bathroom huge, wardrobe, bed comfortable and loved the traditional feel to everything in the room, your own onsen with beautiful wooden surroundings that you fill with water yourself and can hear the large waterfall from the native bush below. Just divine and relaxing. Smart tv that you can watch from the onsen or in bed. Because of the waterfall you needed to have the volume up quite high though. Drinks in fridge were for your enjoyment free of charge. They include drinks and snacks in the restaurant area in the afternoon for your enjoyment. Lovely check in process, with a personal touch and a traditional tea. Bus stop right there at road entrance to the hotel - we used this a few times during our stay. Taxi is best when arriving and leaving with suitcases given the hills. 7 eleven a few hundred metres walk. We didn’t want to leave!
