I liked many things about Nuga Retreat. First of all, the beautiful, natural surroundings with mountain views created a unique atmosphere of peace and relaxation. The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, providing convenience, and the outdoor pool was a great place to unwind. I also really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff who truly made an effort to ensure our stay was enjoyable.

From the very first moment, we felt right at home. The hosts were incredibly caring and kind, making us feel like part of their family. Their warm welcome and continuous attentiveness made our stay truly special. One highlight was definitely the tour with the host (Rabi) to see the lorises. These fascinating creatures, which are hardly seen anywhere else in the world, left us completely enchanted. It was a wonderful experience that we highly recommend. Thank you for this unforgettable time – we will definitely be coming back!

The stay was absolutely perfect! I wouldn’t change one thing about this place. We stayed for one night and from start to finish, the service and hospitality was exceptional, we were truly treated like family. The food was cooked fresh to order and absolutely divine, and we were fed until we couldn’t eat any more! The bed was super comfy and all the bathroom facilities were really good. The safari was great too. I don’t often write reviews but this place deserves one! The owner even called to speak to us just before we left to make sure we had a good stay!

It was a pleasure to stay at Leel's Safari Cottage! Leel, Nameli and Leel's Mother are such heartful persons, we had a lot of fun together! The rooms are very new and have a nice view to the garden which is wunderful! Make the Safari Tour with Lee, he has very good knowledge, and gives his best to give you the most special experience. He showed us so many animals! Also the food his mother and wife are cooking is very delicious! His taxi driver sameera is also great.We highly recommend this place, and hope we come back soon! The super friendly staff, who went out of their way to make our stay memorable (eg when my daughter hurt herself they produced a toy elephant for her to keep, or making different dishes of food because had never tried them). Added to this the very relaxed vibe of the place made it the perfect place to end our holiday.

I liked everything from the friendly lady in the reception and to my checkout. The restaurant is probably the best one in this area.

I had a fantastic stay at Ocean Bliss Villa. The property was spotless, and the breakfast was delicious. The view was breathtaking, and the staff provided exceptional service, making us feel welcome from the start. Highly recommended!

Excellent budget accommodation in udawalawa. Our double room was basic but clean with fresh towels and necessary things.

Mayava is an absolutely beautiful villa, managed by a wonderful owner and an amazing staff. The breakfasts are not only beautifully presented but also truly delicious. The pool area is fantastic, offering the perfect place to relax and enjoy peaceful moments. This hotel is quiet, full of good energy, and ideal for anyone looking to unwind. Mayava Villa has definitely raised the bar for all the hotels we will choose in the future, and we will absolutely spend more time here next time. Highly recommended!

A wonderful hotel - located a bit outside of Hikkaduwa, but for us that was actually a plus. It was quiet, cozy, and peaceful, almost like spending summer at your grandmother’s countryside house. At the same time, a nice beach (with surfing available) and cafes are within walking distance, and you can easily reach other places by tuk-tuk if needed. We were allowed to check in a few hours earlier than scheduled, which was very much appreciated. The breakfasts were fantastic, and the host was incredibly welcoming. The room was comfortable, very clean, and had everything we needed. I would definitely come back.

- great architecture and interior design - the location is far from the noisy village (but only at 5min drive with scooter) - Janaka was the perfect host! - we took dinner and breakfast at the property and was delicious - everything is perfect at this place
