I liked many things about Nuga Retreat. First of all, the beautiful, natural surroundings with mountain views created a unique atmosphere of peace and relaxation. The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, providing convenience, and the outdoor pool was a great place to unwind. I also really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff who truly made an effort to ensure our stay was enjoyable.

Immaculately maintained property. Gorgeous panoramic view from the room and balcony of mountains and lotus ponds. Spot egrets, parrots, butterflies and apparently loris. You can enjoy a late afternoon walk around the lake after a cooling swim in the pool. Return for the sunset and delicious rice & curry.

We had a fantastic stay at ocean bliss villa mirissa with the reasonable price and is good value for money. 'A truly home like stay'. The staff were incredibly friendly. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and well equipped with everything we needed. The location was perfect ans amazing - closed to Kamburugamuwa beach, Mirissa beach and Madiha beach. We got the breakfast also. It was very delicious. I higherly recommend this villa to anyone visiting Mirissa , Kamburugamuwa , Madiha , Polhena and Matara areas and I look forward to staying here again in the future.

It was a pleasure to stay at Leel's Safari Cottage! Leel, Nameli and Leel's Mother are such heartful persons, we had a lot of fun together! The rooms are very new and have a nice view to the garden which is wunderful! Make the Safari Tour with Lee, he has very good knowledge, and gives his best to give you the most special experience. He showed us so many animals! Also the food his mother and wife are cooking is very delicious! His taxi driver sameera is also great.We highly recommend this place, and hope we come back soon! ‘The perfect place to stay before or after a safari when visiting udawalawe. Wonderful Tree Hose Iya very clean and beautiful. Ahan and his family are great hosts, we did the safari with Shan too and had an unforgettable time! Highly recommend!!!

From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome. Janik and his mother Schwarna are lovely people who really care about their guests. Nothing is too much trouble and we were very grateful to Janik for arranging transport to and from Amba Kola for us. Schwarna is a talented cook and we really enjoyed her cookery class - and of course eating the delicious Sri Lankan food she taught us to make! We also particularly appreciated the large comfortable bed and superb pillows!

Incredibly attentive staff. We had swim after dark and they brought drinks to us poolside. Our son was to tired to wait for dinner so they set it up at our room instead. Thank you for the special & beautiful memories

I liked everything from the friendly lady in the reception and to my checkout. The restaurant is probably the best one in this area.

Uyana is exceptional. Janaka the manager is also exceptional. The landscaping is delightful. The premises are very very clean and Uyana is held to a high standard. Their is architectural merit in this retreat. As other reviewers have suggested however, it is Janaka that runs this operation beautifully. A very quietly spoken, discreet manager who appears to have gained a lot of experience along the way. He reminds me of the very best of staff in hotels in major cities. He makes things happen quietly. It appears as if everything is done with complete ease. I left my phone in a taxi after vacating Uyana. Janaka organised its retrieval. I was one of a few guests. Another guest during our stay lost her pack/wallet on a road locally. Janaka with all the quiet ease of a true professional retrieved everything very quietly. No fuss is made. If every visitor has a request outside of the norm it takes an experienced professional to keep everything running smoothly whilst keeping all the guests happy. Uyana Retreat has a real asset in their manager and he also appears to have pride in the very establishment that he is the face of. 5 stars.

The Stay was absolutely lovely, best stay of our trip. The hosts really made it great as they told us a lot about the area and different restaurants and places to visit, as well as information regarding the area. Beautiful hotel and Peters breakfasts were amazing, different every day and super tasty.

Nice view from the room, hospitality owner. Recommend!

the perfect way to explore two parks, see the elephants and get great information about the jungle. rooms and foods were ok. great jungle tour as well.
