Hotels in Madagascar

The place is amazing. Feb 2023 was the second time we went to Constance Tsarabanjina and we absolutely loved it - we stayed 7 nights at a North Beach Villa, all inclusive and were lucky to have great weather even though Feb is supposed to be part of the rainy season. We travelled London Heathrow - Addis Ababa Ethiopia - Nosy Be Madagascar. The hotel arranged for a guide to wait for us at the Nosy Be Airport and took us to the beach where the hotel's boat waited to take us from Nosy Be Island to Tsarabanjina Island (the boat fare is about 1 hour and needs to be paid separately - at the time we went it was 200 euros per person covering both ways). Tsarabanjina is a tiny island with only one hotel, Constance, which has about 24 beach villas (about 12 on North Beach and 12 on South Beach), so even if it were to be fully booked, it would still be quite and relaxing. The atmosphere is so chilled and everybody is trying to make your stay as nice as possible. Staff is friendly and nothing is too much trouble; food is great as nothing compares with the fresh fish and other sea food; beach villa is large, nicely furnished and decorated with amazing views. The hotel offers a range of activities, some included in the price of the stay and some others to be paid separately (but none being too expansive). Activities / facilities included in the price are one snorkelling trip, one boat trip at the sunset with cocktail or fizzy wine, access to their snorkelling equipment, canoe boats, paddle boards, other sports and games; activities at extra price include diving (there is a Diving Centre at the hotel where one can get PADI certified if interested), trip to Nosy Mitsion island, trip to Nosy Kumba island, fishing trip, snorkelling extravaganza trip, massage / SPA, breakfast and / or dinner on the beach.

Diana Lodge is like a magical, wonderful place that u wish to be one day. This time it was real and Everything about this place is pur magic. The people were outstandig, starting with the Host Beatrice. It felt Like at Home and thank one more time for the time and Patience 👍🏻 Tata and André in the kitchen, magic Food, thanks for Ur Creativity. Frank as the Bar Keepern always there with a smile and thanks for the caipis and teaching me to Dance madagassy way🙏🏻 and everybody Else who made me feel Like at Home ❤️

A fabulous location! No shoes necessary, as you relax, snorkel, paddle, walk up the mountain, feast on the Chef’s daily special’s and relax with host, Fabrice.

The location, view and facilities are amazing. Really friendly and helpful staff, including an excellent chef, which made for an unforgettable stay. Highly recommended!

I absolutely loved the location, Nosy Faly truly radiates peace and tranquility. Miavaka Lodge is the perfect place to unwind, whether you’re with family, friends, or a loved one. The food was, without a doubt, the best I’ve had in Madagascar...fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly attentive and made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. There’s a wide range of activities on offer, and Nosy Faly boasts some of the most stunning scenic views of the surrounding islands, including Nosy Be and Nosy Komba. The sunsets from the swimming pool are simply magical, and the house-made rum? Easily the best I’ve ever tasted. To top it all off, I was welcomed with a lovely surprise: a complimentary upgrade to a larger tent nestled in the lush tropical gardens. Every detail exceeded my expectations...I’ll definitely be back!

The people working there were super nice! Very helpful and always smiling! Food was also very good. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere with a fireplace which was amazing for the slightly cold nights we had when we were there. Morning wake up with the sounds of nature, outside our bedroom window there was a choir of birds which gave us the best morning wake up. Laundry service was also great! Fast, and perfectly done with a great fresh smell! We stayed there to visit Ranomafana National Park, which was about an hour drive to reach it.

Completly new hotel, kit of space, nice design. Sleeping there you will support young people in their education, Don Bosco has global network for these kind of schools giving children an opertunity to a get a training in jobs. On the weekend absolutly calm.

Absolutely amazing stay, lovely bungalows, very friendly and helpful staff, good food. We enjoyed chilling on the pier sunbeds very much.

The food, the staff, and fireplace in our room (and the room itself) were absolutely wonderful !

stayed 12 nights in this beautiful facility. A breathtaking panorama, surrounded by greenery and tranquility, located in a strategic area, not far from the nightlife and not far from the most beautiful beaches of Nosybe. It was one of the best stays I have had. Exceptional staff, kind and caring, where I also had the opportunity to make beautiful friendships. The cleanliness and management were impeccable. A warm thank you should also be given to the owners who proved to be extremely helpful and super friendly, even sharing some evenings together. I hope I will be able to meet all of you again. I cannot express in words how amazing this place is. First, the location is beautiful, the garden, the pool, the bungalow, a quiet green oasis. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, all prepared by their private cook and these were among the best meals we had during our trip through Madagascar (very nice, unusual starters!) The heart and diamond of the hotel, however, is their owners, a Malagasy-Swiss couple, who did EVERYTHING to make us feel comfortable and help us wherever they could. After we ran into problems with our subsequent hotel, they found a solution for us to stay another night at their place (even though they were fully booked), helped us out with the airport transfer and the back-and-forth to Toliara, drove us around and in general gave us an extremely warm, welcoming and homey feeling. THIS is Malagasy hospitality at its peak - thank you so much for all of it :)
