The hotel is beautifully and tastefully restored and decorated. We were greated warmly and friendly, and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. I recommend staying here, and would stay here myself again.

We took a brief stop on our road trip in this small town. The room is not just a room. We were really surprised that the whole defense tower is our room! The interior is modern and comfortable with the castle view. As this is a defense tower, there are many windows around the room. So you can enjoy 360°c view from the room. Fantastic. Breakfast would be delivered in the morning and we had breakfast inside the room.

This is an exceptional hotel in a former church which has been transformed by the owners in a perfect hotel. It is very stylish and you can feel that the owners live their dream. Landhuis Hotel de Hilkensberg was absolutely excellent—one of the highlights of our trip. The estate is stunningly green and peaceful, with a natural swimming pool and charming animal residents, including a super-friendly chicken, and hungry alpacas you can feed. The breakfast was amazing, and the evening snacks were just as impressive. The food overall was fantastic, and the atmosphere incredibly relaxing. The team was welcoming and very accommodating. A beautiful, restful escape—wish we could’ve stayed longer!
