The staff are fantastic, the room was spotless, the location is excellent and the food was delicious. I stayed for 6 nights and enjoyed every minute, would highly recommend to anyone staying in Kathmandu.

What a gem! The room was so comfy, and the greenery outside was just breathtaking. Great value for such a peaceful and relaxing experience.

Suraj was very welcoming and personable! Location is relatively close to the main town. I signed up for the full day jungle walk and they have very professional guides (Som & Thela) as well as a great staff team! (Shoutout to Bips too) It was a great stay and way to experience Chitwan, Sauraha.

I've been travelling for almost a year and staying with Kabi's family in their home is one of the loveliest, most memorable experiences I've had. The family are so welcoming and invited me and the other guests to get involved in as many of their daily activities as we wanted, including collecting leaves in the forest for their animals, helping to cook the absolutely delicious food they made for us every day, making yoghurt, and milking the buffalo. They took us on tours of the village where we learned so much about the local culture, and on a couple of short hikes to a waterfall and a swimming spot in the river. In our downtime we could play cards with the family, or just relax and enjoy the view of the valley and (if the weather is good!) the annapurna range. There's also a yoga centre nearby with classes every morning. If you want to experience a slice of authentic Nepali village life just book here, you won't regret it!

nice looking, fresh rooms, clean, you get everything you need, convenient location. Nice breakfast you order and choose one portion. we visited during cloudy season, but when its clean sky I imagine the view from rooms is incredable. Welcomed staff, we wish you all the best.

This place is family-run. The location is perfect, and while the facilities are basic, they include everything you need. We stayed in a small traditional cottage overlooking the beautiful flower garden. Waking up in this environment is incredibly peaceful. There’s also a small restaurant, with a menu that offers a subtle nod to European cuisine. Mr. B is retired, but still very involved with the guests. His sons Bibek and Bibesh, along with Loken, are experienced guides who take you on safari. They show great respect for the jungle and all the animals that live there. Because everything is freshly prepared, it can sometimes take a little while for your meal to be served. I definitely shouldn’t forget Bibek’s wife—on the days we weren’t on safari, she took great care of us. Everyone here is warm, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile for you. During the time we were there, spotting tigers, elephants, and rhinos was a real possibility. All in all, this place is truly a hidden gem—and one thing’s for sure: we’ll definitely be coming back here again.

The hotel is nice and new. The room and bathroom have everything you need and I liked the variety of soft lighting which is great for reading or working at a desk. There is a kettle, fridge, water, tea and coffee. The bed is comfortable. Cleanliness everywhere. The breakfasts are delicious and fresh. The staff are excellent and willing to help. Good luck guys! You become one of the Family at Golden River, I had such a fantastic time here, a wonderful family led by Pappu, Incredible guide, the most delicious food & the best location 😍😍 I saw so many birds just sat on the porch drinking Masala Chai, Recommend to anyone who wants to fulfill their dreams of seeing the wildlife & experience the warmth & hospitality of a great local family, & yes, I saw 3 Tigers amongst so much other wildlife!!!! 😍😍🐯🐯😍😍

Location and hospitality and prices. Hotel in newly built and it is net and clean. And staff also very good. I like this Hotel. WiFi works. Hot water Everything is very good.
