Hotels in the Philippines

Virly and Javier were very accommodating hosts. We felt very welcome and they took the time to chat with us and explain the local culture and island life. We booked their hotel (gorgeous bamboo finishings throughout) while we were on the ferry and it was one of the best locations we stayed at during our 2-week trip in the Philippines. The only thing I'd indicate for improvement is that it was a little tricky to find - perhaps a signage before the dirt road to the resort would help travellers find their way to this little slice of paradise. Lovely place right at the beach! The accommodation is huge and has everything you need. The shower is hot and good pressure. Great airco! The swimming pool is amazing, you can almost jump from your bed into the pool. Food is also great, I’d recommend the Mango Curry! Last but certainly not least.. a huge thank you to Lynn who took such great care of us! She’s a gem with the voice of an angel :)

The accommodation is very well. Nice swimming pool and (because the owner is from Finland) there is a sauna. It's free to be used. The food in the restaurant is nice and for a good price. And....if you wish you can have your beer in a frozen glass!

Absolutely incredible experience! This place is a true gem, perfectly located right on the beach, making every moment feel like paradise. The on-site restaurant was so accommodating and willing to make any dish vegetarian for us. The staff were beyond friendly and always had a smile on their faces, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Huge shoutouts to Adita, Arial, and David who went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable! We truly couldn’t have asked for a better stay and can’t wait to come back one day! My friends and I will never forget our stay here on this magical island.

The staff, especially Mr James were excellent. We were first given a room above the reception that we found loud (the usual problem in the Philippines is poor front door sound insulation). Upon bringing that complaint to the staff, they went beyond our expectations to accommodate our needs. We were positively surprised and had such a great experience that we decided to extend our stay. We ordered breakfast once and it was brought to our room which was really nice. We loved the trip to Nacpan beach and enjoyed free sunbeds at their sister hotel. The hotel provides free shuttle to the city and to the airport.

We really enjoyed our stay at villa camilla. Great breakfast, cocktails and we instantly felt welcomed there. Beach is not too crowded, so perfect to have a relaxed vacation!

Positives: Friendly and helpful staff, Room is spacious and clean , you can rent scooter directly at the hotel, close to Cambugahay falls, nice breakfast, they have a contact of masseur that comes to the hotel, there is a laundry place super close to hotel and its closer from Salagdoong Beach (vs San Juan or Siquijor) AND the swimming pool is great! So, a lot of positives! The only point of attention is that there are few good options of restaurants near the hotel, so you will need to go to San Juan, which is 20-25 minutes by scooter. It was not a problem for me, but i think its good to mention.
