The hotel is brand new as I found out yesterday. The size of the room is very nice. Very beautiful and artistic design. Very kind stuff that meet your needs over and beyond the expectations. I was one night last week and turned around my plans to come back again and stay 2 more nights before flying back home. As a previous 5 star hotelier I can tell a lot about the quality.

It's a family place with heritage. Joaquim is an extraordinary host – he welcomed us with grace and true hospitality. When I made my advance reservation months ago, I was a bit skeptical because the hotel was brand new with only one online review. However, the photos were beautiful and the location seemed amazing, so I went through with the reservation. And upon checking in, I was not disappointed. The hotel and room were very clean. Our room was loft-style with a view of the Douro River, which was located just around the corner from the hotel. The breakfast was also amazing with a variety of bread, pastries, fresh fruits, etc. Location was also amazing. It's located in an alleyway in front of the Douro River and around the corner from the Church of St. Francis. Overall, my family had an amazing stay and will definitely come back during our next visit.
