Outstanding 5-star hotel in a historic building on a hill directly on the estuary. The hotel offers all the amenities that guests expect in this category. In the spa area there is a heated indoor pool with various whirlpools, fitness room, sauna and steam bath. The breakfast buffet is rich, varied and good. Even with boiled shrimps and champagne! The hotel has two restaurants, one of which is a “gourmet temple”. The rooms are scrupulously clean and luxuriously furnished. The staff are extremely friendly and competent. We were picked up from the parking lot with an umbrella on arrival and directed to reception. We didn't have to worry about our luggage on arrival or departure.

Beautiful property as soon as you walk in it’s like your own little paradise such friendly staff pool was lovely even had a hot tub when you go up the stairs! definitely worth the money!

The pool area is worth a visit alone! The view is breathtaking! Love that they grow most of what they serve in the restaurant in their own garden!

I so recommend the hotel! We got an upgrade to a suite. We had beautiful view on the ocean, the room was spacious and always clean. The Staff was professional, always helpful and nice to all their guests. They surprise us with little gratitudes - snacks, drinks and in general tips how to see Madeira best. We used both swimming pools, jacuzzi, tenis court, and meals were tasty! Thank you!!

Newly built boutique guesthouse hotel close to beach . Everything was perfect. Family owned with everything finished to a very high standard. Excellent breakfast. Hosts very helpful, friendly and wanting guests to have the best stay possible
