Equally wonderful excursions can be found along the border at the ruins of ancient Penjikent and the surrounding Fann Mountains. Tracing the Pyan River south from Khorog, the Wakhan Corridor is sprinkled with picturesque villages, ancient shrines and crumbling castle ruins. The corridor runs right up to the border so it’s possible to cross into Afghanistan and explore the Wakhan from the other side. Exceptional Stay – Feels Like Home! 10/10
We had an amazing stay at Soro Hotel Dushanbe. The location is perfect and made it so easy for us to explore the city. The rooms were clean, comfortable and truly felt like home.
A very special mention to Mirzo, our wonderful host. He made our stay extra special with his warm hospitality, helpful nature and friendly attitude. He goes above and beyond for guests, and because of him, the whole experience felt like staying in the best home away from home.
Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Dushanbe. Would definitely choose Soro Hotel again.

Exceptional stay. The reason why I have decided to book this hotel was due to many positive reviews from Czech users. The owner welcomed us and explained that he has every year around 200 Czech travelers staying in his place so we immediately started a pleasant small talk. What we really liked was that each guest gets their own slippers for their stay in the hotel since there is no shoes policy. This ensures the hotel is clean. One of the receptionists recommended us nice local restaurant nearby and the owner helped us to book a car for a mountain trip. Restaurants and shops are nearby.
