Amazing accommodation. Relaxing, friendly people, and outstanding breakfast. Unfortunately, I had a health incident, and Pia's (owner) husband took me to the clinic at 4 am. It felt like we were guests in our friend house rather than a hotel. The location is a couple km away from paje but there are board games and books there to spend your time and also a kayak to use. It has got plenty of hot water all the time and the beat water pressure we had in zanzibar. Very clean and good care taken of the facilities. We had a couple of gifts and a welcome glass of wine. Great experience overall ( I just couldn't enjoy it fully due to my incident) The food at the hotel restaurant was fresh and very tasty!!

Our whole experience at this Resort was incredible, the whole staff, managers were very friendly, professional, met all our needs, i would specially want to give a special shout out to the manager Afshan, the whole crew, Issa, Denis, Neema, Anil, Elizabeth, Martin, Sophia, Ndende, Ishaq, Nasra, Mtumwa, Beatrice, Sarafina and lastly Mr Salum all you Guys are the REAL MVP, We will be Back for Sure with more Friends and Family sooner than you think, Please keep the Great Work and God Bless you all

Very local vibe in peaceful place surrounded by masai bomas.

We loved the vibe at the hotel, super chill place to hang out during the day and everyone working there, including the owner was always happy and helpful. The rooms were nice and the breakfast was healthy and good with a variated meny everyday.

This is my first 10 given on Booking.com, but this vacation definitely deserves it. Vacation means people, location and resort all together. Malgo, Tomek and their full Dream Team is the first key component of the amazing days we spent there: saying that we felt truly at home would for sure not be an overstatement. I believe there is no need to add anything more about this. Location of the resort is excellent: right on the beach, a clean beach by the way (a plus for them, given what we have seen elsewhere). We enjoyed a lot the walks to the reef during low tide, celebrated with final unusual urchins meals: nice swimmings during high tide. Mnemba island, with some of the best snorkeling sites in Zanzibar, is just 30-40 minutes away. Finally, the resort: right size (not more than 20 rooms), nicely organized, simple but elegant architecture, sea view from all rooms, very nice 25 m swimming pool in the center (with separate lane for whoever wants to swim), massage facilities... and more. Our room was very spacious, pleasant, relaxing: and always extremely clean. Ask for Paradise Room if you go there :-) Restaurant is also a plus for this place, with possibility to eat at any time during the day: food was very good, mostly local (as it should be) but also with international cuisine options, great variety which allows to try different foods for the entire week.

I have been living in Tanzania for a year, and I have never received such a warm and genuine welcome. The staff at Pangani Cliffs Lodge make you feel at home in the smallest details: your name beautifully written on the welcome board at reception, their readiness to meet any need, their kindness, and the care they put into every little thing. Everything was simply outstanding. The lodge is set in the heart of nature, with direct access to both a beautiful pool and an unspoiled beach. The food is delicious, the cleanliness is impeccable, and every corner of the property feels thoughtfully designed. I had mentioned to the staff that it would be my husband’s birthday and simply asked for a small candle. Instead, they surprised us with heartfelt birthday songs from the entire team and a personalized cake—such a touching and unforgettable gesture. From the breathtaking views to the warm smiles that greet you every day, Pangani Cliffs Lodge is truly a piece of paradise. We left with our hearts full, and I sincerely hope to return soon.

We loved Hekaya resort. The location is unique, facing the ocean with incredible panoramic views to see the sunrise, but being a small resort you have a special tranquility and intimacy. We traveled as a family with two small children and at all times we felt super comfortable. Rooms and the whole resort are super clean. The staff make us feel at home and they helped us with everything we needed with their best availability. Thanks to Godfrey and Jackline for their kindness. As well as Diswa, Mohamed, John and all the staff who made us feel at paradise at all time. We also miss little Luna, the cat. We'd love to come back to Hekaya in paradise in the future

We spent 9 magical nights at the place and it was amazing.african bungalows is more than a hotel ,it's a family place where the staff and the owners really take care of you.from the moment we booked we were kept in constant contact / communication with the owners about whether we required shuttle from and back to the airport which we accepted.they also advised about all the activities we could do.upon arrival we realized we were in heaven with the beautiful palm trees and stunning pool.we met the turkish owners who are brothers and Mai who checked us in easily.the hotel has its own restaurant and the food is divine.they also have nightly events and dinners. Really enjoyed the BBQ dinners.the rooms are big with fridge , showers , hair dryer for the ladies , daily shampoo and soaps.tea /coffee and drinking water is complimentary daily. We enjoyed the daily breakfasts as well.the place is literally a minute walk to the main nungwi beach and about 20 minutes walk to kendwa beach. There are many places to swim. It is very safe during the day and at night to walk about with many restaurants situated around it. Mai arranged one of the dolphin tours to mnemba Island which we enjoyed and came with us as well. The tumbatu Island is also close for snorkelling with boat.we also did the nakupenda , prison island and stone town tour. The nungwi turtle sanctuary is about a ten minute walk.we enjoyed swimming with the dolphins and turtles. This is a new hotel and it catered to our every needs. All the staff were friendly and we really enjoyed our stay here.we will definitely be back. We are missing the crystal clear turqoise waters now.also missing those 2 cute cats.

What makes Palmera so special is its inspiring mission. The hotel and restaurant operate as a hospitality school for local young women, and the exceptional service they provide is a direct reflection of their training. From their warm smiles to their impeccable attention to detail, you can feel the genuine pride they take in their work. The hotel's setting is pure paradise. The infinity pool overlooking the turquoise sea is mesmerizing, and the lush, immaculately kept gardens create a perfect oasis for relaxation. It was wonderful to be able to walk barefoot through the fine sand and simply enjoy the tranquility. For anyone, but especially for vegans, the restaurant is a must-visit. The creative and delicious vegan dishes, all beautifully prepared and presented by the talented students, were a true highlight. It's a testament to the high-quality training they are receiving. The breakfast, in particular, was the best I had during my three-week stay in Tanzania, the homemade warm bread and homemade chocolate spread were unforgettable. For lunch and dinner, with main courses priced between $11 and $13, it offers exceptional value. This 15-room hotel is a quiet retreat. I stayed when it was almost empty and had no issues with noise, but even when full, the large garden and pool area should provide plenty of space for guests. The price range for double rooms in the 2025 high season was 70-100 USD. All rooms face the sea, though the view can be a bit limited from some of the downstairs rooms. While the large windows are beautiful, the curtains don’t fully cover them, which could be a privacy concern for some. I prefer a firm mattress, and the bed was perfect for me, but it might be a bit too hard for others. The solar-powered hot water worked flawlessly. The road to the hotel is a little bumpy on the last kilometer, but there are plans to improve it. In the bathrooms, I would have appreciated a bit more space to dry towels, or a drying rack on the terrace.

Lovely small property with very personal service, really great standard of accommodation, big room, great shower, nice pool, extremely accommodating staff. Excellent overall. Dive equipment is new and dive service also excellent.

The location is perfect, you can watch the animal drink water from the pond. The hotel is beautiful and the staff s incredibly sweet and attentionate. Service and follow-up is impeccable. They had organized everything from A-Z. No words to describe this perfect hotel, it is really outstanding and worth the money.
