Breakfast every morning is wonderful! Fresh juice and coffee/tea, fresh fruit plate, chapati and other breads, eggs any way you like... it's all wonderful. Breakfast is slightly different every morning and it's delicious. Pia and Hashem are extraordinary hosts. They are so warm and welcoming, and they go out of their way to make your stay amazing. They booked excursions for us, and even arranged a free boat outing and live music night for guests during our stay. They helped us book drivers, and were always there to have a nice conversation and connect. We have travelled a lot over the last 20 years and we have stayed at a lot of places. Pia and Hashem are the top hosts we've encountered. They are wonderful and they make your stay at the African Paradise Hotel memorable and fabulous.

What makes Palmera so special is its inspiring mission. The hotel and restaurant operate as a hospitality school for local young women, and the exceptional service they provide is a direct reflection of their training. From their warm smiles to their impeccable attention to detail, you can feel the genuine pride they take in their work. The hotel's setting is pure paradise. The infinity pool overlooking the turquoise sea is mesmerizing, and the lush, immaculately kept gardens create a perfect oasis for relaxation. It was wonderful to be able to walk barefoot through the fine sand and simply enjoy the tranquility. For anyone, but especially for vegans, the restaurant is a must-visit. The creative and delicious vegan dishes, all beautifully prepared and presented by the talented students, were a true highlight. It's a testament to the high-quality training they are receiving. The breakfast, in particular, was the best I had during my three-week stay in Tanzania, the homemade warm bread and homemade chocolate spread were unforgettable. For lunch and dinner, with main courses priced between $11 and $13, it offers exceptional value. This 15-room hotel is a quiet retreat. I stayed when it was almost empty and had no issues with noise, but even when full, the large garden and pool area should provide plenty of space for guests. The price range for double rooms in the 2025 high season was 70-100 USD. All rooms face the sea, though the view can be a bit limited from some of the downstairs rooms. While the large windows are beautiful, the curtains don’t fully cover them, which could be a privacy concern for some. I prefer a firm mattress, and the bed was perfect for me, but it might be a bit too hard for others. The solar-powered hot water worked flawlessly. The road to the hotel is a little bumpy on the last kilometer, but there are plans to improve it. In the bathrooms, I would have appreciated a bit more space to dry towels, or a drying rack on the terrace.

The bungalows are located in a great location which is just around the corner from the beach. They offer a delicious breakfast and a good variety of food if you want to have dinner, like us, in the evening without having to leave the place. If you need any help to arrange things, the owners will take good care of you to make sure you have a great stay!

Our whole experience at this Resort was incredible, the whole staff, managers were very friendly, professional, met all our needs, i would specially want to give a special shout out to the manager Afshan, the whole crew, Issa, Denis, Neema, Anil, Elizabeth, Martin, Sophia, Ndende, Ishaq, Nasra, Mtumwa, Beatrice, Sarafina and lastly Mr Salum all you Guys are the REAL MVP, We will be Back for Sure with more Friends and Family sooner than you think, Please keep the Great Work and God Bless you all

Wow what an Incredible hotel. We had nothing short of a perfect stay. I can’t recommend this hotel enough- with absolutely nothing to fault as a guest. The hotel itself self is new and all the finishings and amenities show that, such a beautiful design with a beautiful vibe! The location is perfect for some quiet down time, only a few steps on your on white sand and blue waters, with other restaurants and hotels close by if you wish. Local tours are all central and assessable. The food at the hotel was the best we found from everywhere we ate. Not to mention the staff were all friendly and accommodating from the cleaners, wait staff and pool boys. And last but not least the hotel owners- the icing on the cake to an incredible stay! So friendly, helpful, accommodating and personal. You will not feel like another number at a large hotel here! You will feel like you’re in paradise with family.

The entire property is really well laid out, with trees around the pool that give it a really warm and intimate feeling but also provide much-needed shade if you burn easily like I do. The food area and swing seats are inviting and relaxing, so it's a real oasis. The rooms are light and comfortable with good air conditioning. They are also remarkably sound proof, with some of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in in Tanzania. The owners and staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful, and I love the resident kittens they have taken in. The food was good and breakfast was filling and tasty. It's well located in that the beach and shops are in very easy walking distance, but it isn't impacted by the hustle and bustle or the noise that is common in other venues. A really delightful find, we will certainly be back!

Really enjoyed the location and the vibes of Canary Hotel! I felt very welcomed by the staff and the food was fantastic, I enjoyed the pool quite a lot in my time and it's nice that all the rooms have a patio/balcony to sit and relax :) it's also steps away from the beach which is obviously a beautiful bonus

Lovely small property with very personal service, really great standard of accommodation, big room, great shower, nice pool, extremely accommodating staff. Excellent overall. Dive equipment is new and dive service also excellent.

I recently stayed at this lovely little hotel, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality by Il-Ham, who was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. She welcomed us with a smile, gave us a tour of the room, and made sure we felt right at home. The hotel itself is a peaceful and charming retreat, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The room was impeccably clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the amenities provided exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail in the room was exceptional – the romantic touch of a heart-shaped decoration and beautifully crafted towel swans on the bed made the experience truly special. The bathroom was equally well-prepared, with thoughtful amenities including toothbrushes and toothpaste, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The meals were another highlight of our visit. Both breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious and generously portioned. Every dish was prepared with love, and we left the table each time feeling more than satisfied. If you’re looking for a quiet, intimate, and delightful place to stay, I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. The personalized service, the beautiful ambiance, and the thoughtful details made our stay unforgettable. I’m already looking forward to coming back!
