First and foremost, I love the mission of the Lodge. The fact that they work towards improvement for the Maasai women in the area is amazing. Second, the people working at the Lodge are terrific. Susan, in particular, makes you feel at home with good conversations and nice home-cooked meals. Third, the facilities are perfect. Everything you need is ready at hand and you get the perfect combination of authentic experience and comfort. I stayed in the tents, which are great if you’re travelling on a budget. They are affordable and comfortable with nice mattresses, duvets and mosquito nets. You also have toilet and bathing facilities in connection with the tents. The traditional Maasai huts were unfortunately fully booked but Susan was kind enough to show me one before I left. These look absolutely amazing with cozy beds and private washroom. I’ll definitely have to try them out next time! One of the highlights of the stay was the motorcycle safari. We drove out in the bush in the afternoon and experienced the most amazing sights of giraffes, elephants and zebras. We were even lucky enough to have a giraffe visit us inside the Lodge area!

It's been our best stay ever. A beautiful and quiet location with super nice staff. It's within walking distance (2km) from the busier Paje beach. Public transport is also available. The breakfast was great and the dishes from the menu were excellent. Most of the time, we ate on site since it was so good. There were lots of swimming shoes, some snorkeling gear and board games available. On Christmas Eve, the hosts invited Masai men to do traditional singing and dancing, which was an amazing experience. On arrival, we received a written schedule for the tide. We didn't feel that following the tide was a problem for us. It was actually exciting to explore the seabed during low tide and to see what locals do in the shallow water. The bed was really comfortable, and it was an extra point for us. We received small surprises during our stay, and the hosts always had time to have a chat with us or give us guidence regarding our trips. We are so happy we trusted the rewiews and booked this charming place for our holiday. ♥

Room was very comfortable, clean, ac worked good, wifi worked from the room, the pool was nice with chairs and lots of places to relax.. The area were the room was looked is quite nice, very cozy with chairs and places to rest, lots of green, room was nice and quiet to sleep. The location is quite good, close to the beach, many restaurants around, many places to buy local products as souvenirs and also local fruits. The beach itself is very nice, my favorite in Zanzibar, the tide doesn’t affect it much and you can swim the whole day if you want, when the tide is low you can walk to Kendwa and is such a nice walk. Breakfast is quite good with friendly staff always around, water refills are free of charge. Also there is an atm around the corner. I would definitely come back.

Our whole experience at this Resort was incredible, the whole staff, managers were very friendly, professional, met all our needs, i would specially want to give a special shout out to the manager Afshan, the whole crew, Issa, Denis, Neema, Anil, Elizabeth, Martin, Sophia, Ndende, Ishaq, Nasra, Mtumwa, Beatrice, Sarafina and lastly Mr Salum all you Guys are the REAL MVP, We will be Back for Sure with more Friends and Family sooner than you think, Please keep the Great Work and God Bless you all

What makes Palmera so special is its inspiring mission. The hotel and restaurant operate as a hospitality school for local young women, and the exceptional service they provide is a direct reflection of their training. From their warm smiles to their impeccable attention to detail, you can feel the genuine pride they take in their work. The hotel's setting is pure paradise. The infinity pool overlooking the turquoise sea is mesmerizing, and the lush, immaculately kept gardens create a perfect oasis for relaxation. It was wonderful to be able to walk barefoot through the fine sand and simply enjoy the tranquility. For anyone, but especially for vegans, the restaurant is a must-visit. The creative and delicious vegan dishes, all beautifully prepared and presented by the talented students, were a true highlight. It's a testament to the high-quality training they are receiving. The breakfast, in particular, was the best I had during my three-week stay in Tanzania, the homemade warm bread and homemade chocolate spread were unforgettable. For lunch and dinner, with main courses priced between $11 and $13, it offers exceptional value. This 15-room hotel is a quiet retreat. I stayed when it was almost empty and had no issues with noise, but even when full, the large garden and pool area should provide plenty of space for guests. The price range for double rooms in the 2025 high season was 70-100 USD. All rooms face the sea, though the view can be a bit limited from some of the downstairs rooms. While the large windows are beautiful, the curtains don’t fully cover them, which could be a privacy concern for some. I prefer a firm mattress, and the bed was perfect for me, but it might be a bit too hard for others. The solar-powered hot water worked flawlessly. The road to the hotel is a little bumpy on the last kilometer, but there are plans to improve it. In the bathrooms, I would have appreciated a bit more space to dry towels, or a drying rack on the terrace.

We stayed for 5 nights at the most beautiful resort in Zanzibar. Thomas' welcome at 11 PM with a birthday cake, songs, and room decorations touched us deeply. His hospitality was exceptional and enhanced our entire vacation experience. His wife also took care of everything for us. We enjoyed the proximity to the sea and the clean beach that the hotel offers. The rooms are designed to a high standard, down to the smallest detail, and the cleanliness is 10/10. If you come to Zanzibar, stay only at this hotel.

We stayed a day, but if we had time, we would stay a few more days! All the staff were friendly and the room was clean and tidy. The view of the beach from the terrace is amazing! The Rock Restaurant is within walking distance. I recommend it to those who want a quiet rest.

Pangani Cliffs Lodge is simply a dream location. The main attraction is the omnipresent Indian Ocean, which can be enjoyed around the clock from various seating and sunbathing areas thanks to careful design. What makes this accommodation really stunning is the incredibly warm, thoughtful and yet relaxed and unobtrusive staff. The friendly owners Wilmke and Ricardo, manager Rama and all the staff, such as Samuel and Ambrose, really do everything for the well-being of their guests. What a wonderful luxury to have a tray of tea and coffee on the terrace outside your room at sunrise, decorated with fresh flowers from the wonderful garden! I could go on for pages about the beauty of the place and the grounds, as well as the extraordinary, just too loving hospitality. Simply unique. Next time I will stay longer than two days and nights. I liked the relaxing and calm atmosphere of the place. Guests live there but there is always more than enough space for everyone. The management is super friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with whatever request you have. The beach is very close and you will get a beach towel for free. The food is very tasty and the prices are very reasonable. I kept coming to this hotel for lunches and dinners even after I checked out and moved in to another area. The hotel is new, so it is very clean and cozy around. The interior design of the rooms is very beautiful. I would definitely stay there again!

the pool is huge and super clean , the room are comfortable and quite , the bed was comfortable

This is a very new place focussing on diving excursions with two very well equipped cabins. It is situated in the beautiful marine park area where scuba diving is exceptional. The area is not overrun by tourists and the cabin is a very cosy and restful place. Enjoy one of the evening cocktails, prepared by the friendly staff or relax at the poolside. The small resort arranges shuttle service to and from the airport.
