We spent 2 nights at Caliu Earthship Ecolodge with our child, and it was wonderful from the very beginning! We were warmly welcomed - the hosts turned out to be incredibly kind and attentive. Our room was ready upon arrival, complete with a comfortable baby crib for our little one. The room was warm and cozy despite the unusual eco-architecture - everything was thoughtfully designed for comfort. The place itself is very peaceful and atmospheric, with a true sense of connection to nature. The buildings are unique yet functional, and very pleasant to be in. We especially remember waking up to frost on the grass - it felt like authentic country life! We particularly want to mention the restaurant - both dinners and breakfasts were delicious, served in a homely, friendly atmosphere. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an unusual yet comfortable stay in harmony with nature! We'll definitely be back!

A big surprise in the hinterland of José Ignacio. When booking, I was unsure whether the minimalist architecture might be too sterile, but it wasn't. With only eight very spacious rooms, a very exclusive affair - there was only one other guest there with us. Nevertheless, there is the full hotel operation with a really exceptionally well-trained and friendly staff and a service that responds within seconds. Actually, it seems more like a private home that has been opened to allow a few guests to enjoy this place. Wonderful!

What an amazing, unique boutique hotel. Absolutely beautiful and we had a fabulous stay. A former government official's residence in years gone by, the hotel and room we stayed in was set around an inner courtyard. The decor is stunningly beautiful, traditional, light and airy, with quirky art on the walls and small uruguayan wooden sculptures dotted around and in every room. The breakfast room is a lovely space to relax in each morning and the breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The bed was large and very comfortable. The staff are very professional and helpful. The location of this hotel is perfect - a 3 minute walk to the old town and to the sea one way, and the same distance to Av. General Flores, one of the main streets in Colonia. There is an abundance of restaurants, cafés, bars and shops on its doorstep. Guests can make use of a swimming pool on a Finca in the countryside which is around 10km away and free transport is provided for this. This experience was one of the highlights of our stay - it was unforgettable!!

All fine, rooms are wonderful, quality furniture and extremely comfortable beds, gym, sauna and jacuzzi clean and very organized. Very nice place to be, location is close shops and other touristic points and restaurants. Breaksfast is wonderful with lot of options, restaurant for dinner is delicious. I would really reccomend it and would love to come back again.

Excellent location very suitable for walking, good spot for visiting of amazing vineyards in the area, especially to Bodega Garzón, which was about 30 km. There is supermarket in walking distance. The people in the hotel were friendly and helpful. We will come again in spite of the distance around the Earth. Thanks a lot.
