Just a lovely hotel. Super comfortable room and a lovely lounge with a roaring log stove that was very welcome in mid-winter! Delicious breakfast with homemade yogurt. Will definitely be back and look forward to seeing it in summer. And a special mention for Sofia who is simply brilliant!

The location is perfect and the staff is really helpful and friendly. The room and the hotel itself is really nice too. Bonus point for the breakfast time schedule.

The lodge's commitment to sustainability is evident in every aspect, from the climate-friendly building methods to the innovative water filtration system using plants, which is cleverly incorporated into features like the shower. The coziness of the bedroom added to the charm of the place, making it feel like a home away from home. What truly set Caliu apart was the exclusivity of having my own private area, which provided a sense of tranquility and intimacy that is hard to find elsewhere. The warmth and friendliness of the staff were remarkable. They went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay, adding a personal touch that made a significant difference. The vast grounds of the lodge are an invitation to immerse oneself in nature. Strolling among the beautiful plants and enjoying the breathtaking sunsets were some of my favorite moments. It's a perfect setting for relaxation and reflection, allowing one to truly disconnect and recharge. The breakfast served at Caliu Earthship Ecolodge was a delight. It stood out as one of the best meals I had during my three-month journey in Uruguay. The quality, taste, and presentation of the food were exceptional, reflecting the lodge's commitment to providing a top-notch culinary experience. It's just a 10-minute drive to Colonia del Sacramento making it conveniently accessible while still offering a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle. . In conclusion, Caliu Earthship Ecolodge is a one-of-a-kind accommodation that I highly recommend to anyone visiting Colonia del Sacramento.

Beatiful location and property. The reception hall is chic and spacious with several small seating areas and a small but inviting dining area. The pool area is fantastic and I really enjoyed lounging by the pool. The rooms were large and clean with large windows and lots of sunlight. The manager and staff were very friendly and helpful. Great spot.

A big surprise in the hinterland of José Ignacio. When booking, I was unsure whether the minimalist architecture might be too sterile, but it wasn't. With only eight very spacious rooms, a very exclusive affair - there was only one other guest there with us. Nevertheless, there is the full hotel operation with a really exceptionally well-trained and friendly staff and a service that responds within seconds. Actually, it seems more like a private home that has been opened to allow a few guests to enjoy this place. Wonderful!

It is a great place. very safe and most secured area in Montevideo. the owner an englishman Mr. Mark and his beautiful wife Carolina very friendly and helpful . you feel like home when you are there. spcaious rooms.closer to the beach. Great breakfast and on Thursdays great dinner with an external chef . Hospitality is the real name to the this hotel staff.The beach is just a stone throw away. supermarkets and cafe very close-by

Fabulous staff. Truly - so kind, friendly, helpful, caring, sweet . You'd stay just for them alone! Muchas gracias. Very comfortable rooms and bed. Lovely warm shower. Heating perfect (it is winter at the moment!). Very good WiFi. Sufficient sockets for plugs (which take most foreign adaptors too). Lovely building slap back in old centre. Didn't have breakfast but looked nice. Coffee, drinking water, some liquors offered in lobby. All in all, a great stay. Wish I could have stayed longer! But, I'll be back!

There was not one thing we did not like about this hotel! Room 311 was The best. Friendly staff. A large room with seperate bedroom. Very clean. Everything you need in the kitchen, beach chairs and umbrella, nice deck with chairs etc. delicious breakfast. Location is perfect.

Great location, perfect service, good pool ang gym. Very comfortable beds and pillows.
