The whole experience was magical, and one we will remember for the rest of our lives. We were blown away by the efforts made by Danielle in hosting us, from the amazing home cooked food in such a beautiful setting to making sure we had clean rooms, new towels, and made beds to return to every morning. As for the safari, it is difficult to find the words to describe how amazing this was. We really appreciated JP sharing his experiences and knowledge of the animals and his patience in answering our many questions. There is nothing like seeing an elephant with its baby walk right past you or a lion so full after a kill that it can barely move. In the end, we saw zebras, giraffes, rhinos, hippos, impala, rare wild dogs, and many other animals and birds. We already miss our coffee by the river as the sun comes up...it was perfect in every way.

Marius and Erik were the best guides. We learnt so much from them in the walking safari. The staff is lovely. The retreat is divine and has a lovely relaxing area both by the pool and in a veranda. I'd highly recommend you stay here for one night before checking in at their private game reserve for more game drives.

We had the pleasure of staying at a truly stunning property. The attention to detail throughout the space was out of this world, with every corner thoughtfully designed. The décor in the rooms is absolutely breathtaking, creating such a warm and stylish atmosphere. To top it off, the host was incredibly warm and welcoming, which made our stay feel even more special. Highly recommended!

The property is amazing with many smaller buildings on a large estate giving wine yard / farm feelings. The garden in between buildings is beautifully maintained and the surroundings with the mountains is stunning. The entire team is fantastic and very attentive, polite and professional. We felt very well taken care off. the breakfast is delicious with many different options and you can sit outside enjoying the beautiful landscape and garden. We stayed in the wine year suite which was perfection. Beautifully renovated with one big main room incl. sleeping and living area, one walk-in closet and a large bathroom.

This is just a perfect small hotel: individual attention, comfortable room, delicious food! And a real fireplace to enjoy a complimentary glass of port or a cup of rooibos!
