Marius and Erik were the best guides. We learnt so much from them in the walking safari. The staff is lovely. The retreat is divine and has a lovely relaxing area both by the pool and in a veranda. I'd highly recommend you stay here for one night before checking in at their private game reserve for more game drives.

We had the pleasure of staying at a truly stunning property. The attention to detail throughout the space was out of this world, with every corner thoughtfully designed. The décor in the rooms is absolutely breathtaking, creating such a warm and stylish atmosphere. To top it off, the host was incredibly warm and welcoming, which made our stay feel even more special. Wonderful place with luxurious finishes, great breakfast and welcome cake. We had dinner at their restaurant and it was delicious. We got also a free room upgrade, the staff is very nice.

This assessment is arguably bizarre. Notwithstanding we were not able to stay overnight at the lodge, we still want to give a (very good) review. On the day before our arrival, there was a particularly severe thunderstorm. As a result, the electricity supply around the lodge was destroyed. We were informed of this by the owners who assured us that everything was being done to repair it as soon as possible. When we were on our way to the lodge the next day, another particularly heavy thunderstorm broke out. We were informed by the owners that - due to the heavy rains - the road to the lodge was very dangerous (and that electricity had not yet been restored). Kyla assured us that it was dangerous to drive on to the lodge and that everything would be paid back. We were kept on point about the weather conditions and were able to find another overnight stay away from the thunderstorms. The refund was -as promised- carried out correctly. Thanks for everything - we will visit next year and hopefully the weather will be nice then ;-)
