As Barcelona was really overpriced, I decided to stay in Sant Cugat. The hotel is close to the rail, which brings you to Placa Catalunya in 40mins for less than 3 €, almost round the clock. And Sant Cugat is a nice little place if you enjoy a quieter location. The room is big and very comfortable. I stayed one night in Barcelona in a room twice as expensive, half as big and of a far lower standard. The hotel is modern and clean and I can recommend it all around!!
