Everything! Good location near the port with free private parking. Staff were great and surprised us with a room upgrade (thank you!) The best thing, however, was the breakfast - a fantastic assortment of local items to taste, freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee/tea made fresh on request.

Very nice boutique hotel in a good quiet location, but still within walking distance of the main area. Staff were extremely helpful.

Within 100 metres from the city centre, Kastro Hotel is well-situated for exploring the ancient sites of Heraklion. It offers spacious, air-conditioned rooms with breakfast included in the rate.

Only stayed one night here as my friend and I took the ferry from Santorini to Heraklion and drove to Chania the next day. We walked with our luggage to the hotel from the port but would definitely suggest taking a transfer as there may or may not be a sidewalk and if there is it can get quite narrow. The front desk lady was very nice and welcoming, the room was spacious and clean, and the hotel had many nice restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was a great buffet with lots of variety. Everything suited our needs.

We want to thank the staff for the executive suite we received, there is an extraordinary view of the Venetian Port with a huge terrace. The same staff was very helpful in solving small issues that could have ruined our trip (in the evening, when almost all auto garages close, we needed one to solve a flat tyre).

This well-known Capsis Astoria Heraklion is located next to the Archaeological Museum.

I stayed only one night at Aquila Atlantis Hotel but I really enjoy it. Very clean room, comfy bed, balcony with a great view over the harbor. The location of the hotel is amazing, in the city center, within walking distance to the the harbor, old town, Central Bus Station and shops. The Archeological Museum is right behind the hotel. Nice pool area especially the one on the top of the building with a view to the Koules Fortress, but I didn't stay long enough to use it.

Knossos Beach Bungalows Suites Resort & Spa lies on a sandy beach. It offers 3 swimming pools and 3 restaurants. The beach is equipped with loungers, umbrellas and a bar.
