This place feels like an oasis. It's surprisingly calm once you enter the garden of the property, especially as it's located on a main road. It's easy to walk to the Fisherman's market and the beach, and there's off-street parking if you hire a car or moped. I was travelling by public transport and on foot. The gate is locked at night and I felt very safe inside the property grounds and in the neighbourhood. Hospitality: I arrived early, just as there was a heavy downpour. I made myself comfortable in the reception area and accidentally fell asleep on the sofa after an exhausting trip. Mimi kindly woke me up with a fresh coconut to drink from, which was incredibly refreshing and I was so grateful for the wonderful hospitality. Room: The room was spectacular and the bathroom was huge. Everything was incredibly clean and I couldn't have wished for a more comfortable stay. There was a mini fridge in my room, where I kept some snacks, and I was given small bottles of water each day. Pool: The pool is small but it was very refreshing and I was able to swim a little but I would say it's more for bathing than exercise. There were comfortable sun loungers and the pool area is quiet and calm. Restaurant: I didn't try the restaurant on the property because I had a few local restaurants I wanted to check out, but the menu looked enticing. There is no breakfast at this property, it's more like self-catering with a restaurant option. However, there is a great café on the corner of the street. I was contacted by Mimi from the property in advance of my stay to warn me of a local festival that would be happening during my stay, which would be very noisy. I appreciated the warning as it was very loud.

Excellent resort with all services available in your own privacy, exceptional staff led by Kate and entire team. Private chef romantic dinner arranged in hours, a very special treat and delightful experience. Our private villa was a true cocoon surrounded by lush tropical landscaped gardens. Beautiful property and a warm, authentic 5-star service that’s hard to find on the island. We spent two weeks here and are very happy with the choice. Excellent restaurant and pool area and such a tranquil, quiet setting overall. No sounds of club music thumping late in the night, like you find at some other high-end places that are a bit to close to the action. It's super peaceful at Zazen. I enjoyed using the yoga room and gym, and it was great to have the option of walking on the beach to/from Fisherman’s Village. Top notch staff as well, service-focused, warm and friendly. Will look forward to staying at Zazen again!

The service was awesome! At first, I was supposed to stay only 3 nights but I could not leave there!!! The feeling of beeing soooo welcome was overflowing. Jida and Bibi made me feel like I was their family. You cannot put a price on that! And they can organize anything for you: scooter, transportation, trip to Marine park…you name it.
