When we came through the front door we were greeted by Vittorio, the owner and proprietor. As requested by the sign, we removed our street shoes and walked into an immaculately clean and inviting environment. The entire bed and breakfast is thoughtfully decorated and very warm. Vittorio took us to our room and provided us with information about the bed and breakfast. The room was very nice, complete with a comfortable mattress and a very nice bathroom. We stayed there 3 nights and, therefore, we enjoyed 3 distinctly different and delicious breakfasts. After learning that my wife is lactose intolerant he purchased lactose-free milk to make her scrambled eggs on the second day. Vittorio is an exceptionally considerate host. We highly recommend you stay at the Century House Bed and Breakfast when visiting Ottawa. You'll be most pleased.

Indoor and outdoor guest parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis for $25 + tax per night. Breakfast service exceeded expectations- menu option was more than adequate. The takeaway package came in very handy. I loved that it is a small place but the room offers so much more than I expected. I checked out then had the hotel keep my bags, did not return till 6pm that evening and the staff were very understanding. Loved everything about the hotel.

But I need to change my room about personal reason at 2:00 am. He change my room quickly to single cell room. Thanks to him, I had good slept. I definitely recommended single cell room. Directly across from the National Arts Centre, this non-smoking, landmark hotel is only steps from major attractions, and offers spacious accommodations with 49-inch TVs and first-class amenities in the city centre of Canada's capital. The staff was always accommodating. E.g., When checking in, I asked if I could change my assigned room to one on a higher floor: done! For meals, I sat at the bar as I was travelling by myself. All the servers were very friendly and attentive. I was there on Remembrance weekend, and as the Lord Elgin is very close to Parliament Hill and the Cenotaph, I met patriotic people from all over Canada, including members of our armed services.

The bar is stocked with local craft beers, a selection of wines and a number of house made cocktails. For those who prefer in-room dining, room service is available from 06:00 to 22:00 every day. I recommend a perfect location
