The breakfast buffet has an excellent variety of regional meats, eggs, fruits, and breads. It’s only a short walk to the train station. They also offered the Ticino Card, which made access to public transportation easy! The hotel is family run. Nikoli was very helpful with information about the area. Would definitely stay here again!

Hotel Tamaro is gevestigd in een patriciërswoning uit de 18de eeuw. Het ligt aan de oevers van het Lago Maggiore in het centrum van Ascona. Exceptional views straight to Lago Maggiore. Our room was spacious and comfy and the balcony big enough to enjoy the view with a cup of coffee. The staff very friendly and the breakfast very rich and delicious. Also here you could choose to eat inside or outside, on the lake shore, absolutely amazing! It is 5 min walk from the bus stop and in the city centre so walking distance to practically everything. The port is not even 50 m away. Would recommend it!

Completely renovated in 2013, Hotel Rio Muralto is located in front of the train station, 1-minute walk distance from all alle the public transport and the funicular to the Madonna del Sasso. Super close to the train station but so quiet and a very easy walk to the lake or middle of town.

The Hotel Du Lac is located 200 metres from the train station, the funicular, the pier and the bus stop for all your excursions and is only a few steps away from Locarno's old town and the lake. Central location, clean facilities, nice view.
