Seehotel Gotthard wordt beheerd door een familie en ligt in Weggis, aan de oever van het Meer van Luzern, op 25 km van Luzern, en beschikt over 2 restaurants, een pizzeria, een bistro en kamers met... We spent a week in the hotel in April. It is a beautiful property and a great base for walks to Hertenstein, Vitznau and to the cable car to mount Rigi. The hotel is near the ferry dock which provides an easy way to reach the many small pretty towns on the Lake Lucerne. The hotel staff is very pleasant and helpful, the breakfast buffet is simply delicious! It is a very good opportunity to sample local breads, cheeses and cold meat cuts, and the hostess will also cook eggs to your liking. Our room with the lake view was so pretty! Highly recommend the hotel.

We got a room overlooking the lake and were not disappointed. The window/door/balcony took up the whole wall that overlooked the lake providing stunning views the entire time. They provided a bowl and bed for our dog that was traveling with us and greeted her along with us every time we entered or exited. The staff was super attentive and helpful. The restaurant was delicious and the menu is seasonal. It’s in a small but cute town with easy access to the bus that takes you to the nearest train station, it is also right by a ferry during the summer. They have lots of brochures for information on activities nearby and will gladly help you plan any excursions. There’s lots of storage space for all of your equipment and clothes.
