Excellent and beautiful place, all was clean, modern, functional, bathroom is beautiful, room very comfy, view from room to the volcano is espectacular. Restaurant and food for breakfast incredible. Hotsprings and also pool well maintained. Loved the happy hour on the wet bar.

The included breakfast is amazing, the staff is always there to help with anything you need, they're kind and always with a smile. I had an amazing experience.

Offering an outdoor pool, relaxing volcanic hot springs and a restaurant, Hotel El Silencio del Campo is located 6 minutes’ drive from Fortuna. Free WiFi access is available. It was the best hotel during my entire trip. Some improvements and comments (see below) did not affect the overall rating and I would gladly stay there again. I loved the nature around the hotel which is well taken care of, you can clearly see great work of gardener. Also, taking care of animals (e.g. feeding birds) is a nice practice. The views to the volcano are amazing. Hot springs were the highlights of my staying - clear and warm water surrounded by lush green nature and flowers. I do not know if the hotel was full or not but there were always plenty of sun beds and spots in the hot springs. People also seem to respect the place as there is no noise. The lady who worked at the bar was extremely nice and helpful and she made the best cocktails (not sure the name Maya, or Maria?). She also helped me to spot the sloth near by. You could clearly see she enjoyed her work. The room was very spacious and clean with all required amenities. Extra point for availability of repellent. The staff at the reception and restaurant was very friendly and helpful. As a customer you get a nice gift - a hotel bag. I can definitely recommend Hotel El Silencio del Campo.

Great place to stay after a long journey, travelling from the UK. We arrived very late but were warmly welcomed. In the morning we had a lovely breakfast in the beautiful garden. Thoroughly recommend, especially if you're looking for peace and quiet not too far from the airport. Extra bonus: our car hire company (Wild Rider) delivered to Pura Vida, making for a very easy departure.

Lost Iguana Resort and Spa offers an outdoor pool, a gym and lush gardens with a maze. Each room has views of the Arenal Volcano, located just a 25-minute drive away. Absolutely beautiful spot in the rainforest close enough to the tourist activities, but distant enough for a complete disconnect. The view of the Arenal Volcano from our room was stunning. Facilities made of exquisite woodwork. Lots to see. Great pool area. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Located 14 km from Arenal Volcano National Park, Lomas del Volcan offers lush gardens, an outdoor pool and a hot tub. Each air-conditioned cabin has free Wi-Fi and flat-screen cable TV. When we arrived I saw one of the most breath taking views ever. The volcano is so close and makes a crazy impression. I could just stare at it. I wish we could stay longer. Such a peaceful and calm environment, breath taking view on the volcano, well maintained gardens, fantastic pool. So much wildlife- we could hear hundreds of birds all the time. I recommend visiting nearby restaurants as there are so many just a few minutes away. The only thing I didn’t like was a dinner at the hotel restaurant- it was expensive and really not too tasty. Very „Americanized” menu. I would rather have something local and simple. Breakfasts were wonderful though.

Beautiful gardens and wonderful restaurant and shared facilities. If you can arrange to have dinner it is great food and atmosphere.

Hotel Rancho Cerro Azul is located in La Fortuna, Alajuela and offers free WiFi access and stunning views of the surrounding gardens, mountain side and the Arenal Volcano. The place was beautiful and well kept. The breakfast was great!! We loved all the tropical plants on the grounds. We enjoyed our stay very much!!
