Hotel Makanda by the Sea, a luxurious adults-only retreat nestled in the lush tropical paradise of Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. I was in a villa with an ocean view. I was able to see the sun rise and set everyday. There was a large balcony with a seating area, lounge area and hottub. The room was large in size, including the bathroom. There was a fully functional kitchen if cooking was needed (I do not cook on vacay). Overall very satisfied.

Las Brisas Resort and Villas offers an outdoor pool, tropical gardens and on-site restaurant. Playa Hermosa Beach is a 10-minute walk away and a free beach shuttle service is available. Food was delicious - room was VERY comfortable and convenient to everything, yet still felt private - Bed was deliciously comfortable and service couldn't have been more friendly.

This hotel is located about 2 km from Quepos, 5 minutes’ drive from Manuel Antonio National Park. Its spacious suites have a kitchenette and jungle views, and there is an outdoor pool. Beautiful hotel with some jungle vibes! The rooms were huge, always spotless, I don’t understand how you can have a hotel so close to nature and still absolutely ZERO bugs inside (ofc you must keep your windows closed for this). The pool area was lovely, I could’ve spend hours there just watching the birds and monkeys. The area in general is not very walkable, but if you have a car or take the bus, the location is great. 5-10min drive to restaurants, beach, the national park. The roads are narrow and steep but the traffic is calm and considerate. The staff at Plaza Yara were also super helpful and kind, we absolutely loved staying here. 100% recommend!
