The host was so welcoming and helpful! The room was very clean and cozy. This is not a fancy hotel, but it felt more like a bed and breakfast, or being a guest in their home. The host was available for any questions and checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed, including arranging transportation for us back to the train station at the end of our visit. The language barrier was not a problem. Would definitely stay there again!

So close to many restaurants and bars, lovely balcony with beautiful views of Peniscola castle and old town. Staff very helpful. Good aircon.

This traditional guest house has original stone walls and rustic design. All rooms at Dios Está Bien are air conditioned and include a flat-screen cable TV and a private bathroom. Room was small but beautifully decorated. Javiar and Mila could not have been more gracious. Breakfast was fantastic, cooked to order, we ate dinner there both nights because we knew the quality we were getting. Best hamburger I had in a long, long time. Would recommend here if you want to stay near the castle. Narrow streets and passageways and if you don’t mind getting a little lost, ( but everybody is helpful) this is the place.

The Hotel RH Portocristo & Wellness is a stylish hotel set on Peñiscola beach and overlooking the famous Papa Luna Castle. It offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with flat-screen TVs and balconies.

The Portocristo features contemporary design throughout. Its air-conditioned rooms have heating and satellite TV channels. Nice location near the beach and the castle and super friendly staff. Breakfast was very good and also food at the restaurant in the evening is nice. In low season there is free parking in the street and otherwise there is a paid parking across the street.

Pool is nice but VERY crowded (visited in peak time- early August). They have beach chairs ( extra fee) which is very nice to have. Also shuttle to old town exclusive for hotel guests (1.50 Euros per person; but it’s much more convenient than the city bus).

Peñíscola Plaza Suites is on Peñíscola’s seafront promenade, on the Costa Azahar, 2.5 km from Benicarló. It has a large outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, spa and mini golf.

Suites also have a separate living room. We booked a superior suite on a half board basis and were amazed at the lovely accommodation. Also it was a very nice surprise to find a complimentary bottle of Cava and chocolates on our arrival. We will certainly stay here again!
