Originally a wealthy sea captain’s mansion built in 1810, the Hotel Miranda is a fine example of characteristic local architecture. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and homey, really enjoyed it!

Just 200 metres from the scenic Hydra Port, the 5-star Hotel Leto Hydra offers elegant rooms, furnished as a traditional Hydriot mansion. Our stay at Hotel Leto in Hydra was exceptional, marked by a warm welcome and outstanding service throughout. The concierge provided invaluable recommendations for tours, restaurants, and shops. The property's stunning architecture and tasteful, luxurious decor, complemented by modern updates, created a sophisticated ambiance. The comfortable beds, pillows, and premium bed linens ensured a restful stay. Notably, Hotel Leto is the only hotel in Hydra equipped with a lift, a significant advantage after a long day or when handling luggage. The fresh and delicious breakfasts served in the shaded courtyard were a delightful start to each day. This hotel's unique character and classic charm make it a true gem – we look forward to returning.

On arrival we were welcomed by Nicholas who was extremely friendly and helpful. A great start to our stay. We were on the first floor and the room was a good size, the bed comfy, good wardrobe space, good air con, nice to have windows to open and let the sun in (even through the massive heat wave). The bathroom itself was small but did the job for our 5 night stay. The shower was a bit of a let down - very tight squeeze to get in and shut the doors (and we are average build). If we moved without thinking about this small space, we accidentally nudged the tap off or to the hot or cold side. Had to be super careful in that respect. The free breakfast was out of this world amazing, tasty, different every day, home cooked/made, abundant (got us through to the afternoon!). We looked forward to it every morning and ate 90 to 100% of it. Jenni was an amazing hostess who presented us with this breakfast daily and she tolerated my “5 to 6 cup coffee” husband with delightful dry humour! She always had a funny comment to make. Loved her! One of the house maids was super friendly and greeted us every time we saw her - sorry I didn’t get her name! Unlucky for us it was a heat wave the whole 5 days there so going back and forth from the city centre was quite the trek for this unfit oldish woman, but I achieved it 4 or 5 times a day, albeit puffed on arrival. On a cooler day it would be very pleasant. A thousand thank you’s Jenni, Nicholas and friendly housemaid - you made our stay in Hydra magical. Orloff Boutique Hotel, one of the historic Hydra mansions of the 18th century, is lovingly restored to an elegant, luxurious 4 star boutique hotel. I loved that it was luxury yet traditional. Our room was spacious with lots of light and views to the town and the sea in the distance.
