Set in a historic building of the 17th century, La Contrada dei Monti is in Orta San Giulio a few steps from the lake. It offers a courtyard with tables and chairs and exposed stone walls. It was pretty, clean and in a wonderful location.

Only 50 metres from Lake d'Orta shores, Locanda di Orta is located in the pedestrian-only area of Orta San Giulio, and offers a terrace, a restaurant, and an al fresco bistrot with panoramic views. Choose a room with air condition if you are planning to come in summertime… we had booked a double room without it and that room was like a hot cave. We were able to upgrade to another room and it was totally worth it.
