Ryokan Asunaro: A Traditional Japanese Inn in Takayama. Nestled just a 6-minute walk from Takayama Station and the Nohi Bus Center, Ryokan Asunaro offers an authentic Japanese inn experience. The place is absolutely beautiful. By far one of the nicest hotels I've been in. Every detail is well thought of, and the location near Takayama Old city is great.

Het Sumiyoshi Ryokan ligt op slechts 1 minuut lopen van de populaire Miyagawa-ochtendmarkt midden in Takayama en biedt huiselijke accommodatie in Japanse stijl in een historisch herenhuis. We have traveled to so many countries and stayed at so many homestays, hotels, bed and breakfast - you name it. This place, however, was one of the best - if not THE BEST - place we have ever stayed at - WORLDWIDE! such a friendly atmosphere there. The food is simply AMAZING!! the views are mind-blowing. The hosts are extremely friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay the best ever and as authentic as it can get. This is exactly what we had wished for during our Japan trip. It was simply great and madr our trip to Japan. The elderly man, his wife and their son as well as the whole staff was exceptional. ARIGATO! THANK YOU SO MUCH! PS: the onsen with views to the river (and the second one as well) is simply true bliss. Great!!!!!

Located in the centre of Takayama Historic District, Ryokan Tanabe 旅館田邊 is one of the most historical ryokans in the city. It features Japanese-style rooms and free WiFi in all areas. Beautiful traditional Ryokan, the staff is amazing. Very nice Onsen (they allowed me in in spite of several tattoos) and delicious dinner and breakfast. Recommended for trying the traditional Japanese hospitality.

Situated at the heart of historic Takayama Old Town and just steps away from Takayama Jinya Morning Market, the traditional Honjin Hiranoya Kachoan offers personalised hospitality, hot spring baths... Het is een heel mooi hotel. Esthetisch en tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Het personeel is aardig en zeer behulpzaam. Wij hadden een ruime tot grote kamer (suite). Heerlijk. De locatie was ook heel goed.

Het Chaya Hotel ligt op slechts 40 meter van Magome-Juku, een gerestaureerd poststadje uit het Edo-tijdperk. Het biedt eenvoudige traditionele kamers met futonbedden en tatami-matten op de vloer. Eten en heel vriendelijk personeel! Niets was te veel!

Hida Takayama Hodakaso Yamano Iori is just a 3-minute walk from JR Takayama Train Station and a 10-minute walk from Old Town and Takayama Jinya and Miyagawa Morning Market. Fantastisch verblijf in een authentieke ryjokan. Zou deze plek iedereen aanraden. Personeel is heel vriendelijk, kamers zijn schoon en ruim. Het is er stil en de onsen is puur genieten!

Takayama Ouan werd in 2014 bekroond met het TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, en biedt een traditionele Japanse inrichting en tatami (matten van geweven stro) in alle ruimtes. Dicht bij het station. Goed ontbijt. Bagageopslag voor en na het in/uitchecken

Dit hotel ligt op een ideale locatie op slechts 2 minuten lopen van treinstation Takayama en busstation Shirakawa-go. Het heeft een natuurlijke warmwaterbron waarin u kunt ontspannen. Goeie ligging, selectie van kussens als optie in de lobby. Netflix optie op de tv.

Boasting open-air hot spring baths looking over the city and heartfelt hospitality, Honjin Hiranoya Annex is ideally located just steps away from popular Takayama Jinya building and its morning... The food and the location were both excellent. The rooftop baths were amazing too.
