Facing the central shopping street of the Kinosaki Onsen hot spring area, Morizuya offers authentic Japanese-style accommodation, hot spring baths and Japanese dining. Guests can wear colourful yukata robes at the property. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. Everything was excellent. The ryokan is well located very close to the public baths and has itself 2 private baths that you can use in private the afternoons. The personal went above and beyond to make our stay better, even with the language differences. They let us store our luggage before the check in time and took it to the train station the day of check out. They lent us some yukatas to stroll in the town and the owner proposed to take some pictures of us outside the ryokan which was a nice detail. The room we stayed, was a typical ryokan room with futon and everything, which complements the charm of the stay. The food was delicious and they even explained us how the items in the dinner were supposed to be enjoyed. Super authentic experience and totally recommended.

Founded in the 12th century and beloved by Junichiro Tanizaki and other Japanese novelists, Tosen Goshobo is the oldest of the hot-spring inns at Arima. Standing beside the Taki River, it features outdoor hot-spring baths and traditional in-room meals and is a 5-minute walk from Arima Onsen Train Station. The Japanese rooms have traditional futon bedding and a minibar. The hotel room was different from any hotel we had ever been. Very Japanese typical style. Everything was provided. There was even a massage chair for our private use. In the evenings while we were at dinner, the staff set up the futon beds which were very comfortable to sleep in. Before bed, we ordered Shiatsu massages, which were exceptional. The food was good! Breakfast was definitely typical Japanese style. The Onsen was amazing. The water felt so healing.

Rooms with chic décor are fitted with stylish furnishings, and feature a flat-screen TV, a fridge and an electric kettle. The en suite bathroom includes a bath tub and free toiletries. Most rooms boast views of either the harbour or the city. The room and view were exceptional, with plenty of space and excellent amenities. Staff were also extremely attentive. I'd highly recommend their espresso martini and matcha cocktails at their bar.

Rooms are superb quality - deco, tasteful, elegant, good size, many charming nooks and corners to delight you. The onsen in house is good - especially the outdoor bath. Free flow cool teas and ice pops chase the summer heat away. The free flow coffee is actually really good coffee!

Super helpful staff and spacious room, considering your usual hotel room in Japan. Conveniently placed near most places you'd probably visit in Kobe.

The East Exit of JR Sannomiya Train Station is only a 5-minute walk away. Amazing stuff Great accommodation with very, very nice free happy hour and coffee lounge. Had a great time with my friends.

Comfortable beds & pillows. Nice bathroom. I always ask for higher floor & my room was beautiful with a sea & park view. Perfect for me & my first visit to Kobe. The staff everywhere were so nice & helpful. Appreciated the hotel shuttle bus from Sannomiya Station: when I first arrived from the airport ITM with an Airport Limousine Bus & again during my stay in Kobe. Breakfast buffet is splendid & also can get a good espresso coffee. I like Japanese Breakfast! Had one dinner at the Chinese Restaurant: very good. Beautifully presented. Lot of food. I arrived hungry & left very full! I inquired about the swimming pool, but ultimately did not have time to use it this visit. Hopefully next time. (Extra cost to use the swimming pool/sauna)

Himeji Hotel Wing International is 700 metres from JR Himeji Train Station. Sanyo Himeji Train Station is 750 metres from the hotel. Himeji Castle is 400 metres away. The room had a great setup. They had the smart TV directly at the foot of the bed. You can browse Japanese TV stations or just play something off YouTube. It was a cozy room that was just right in every way. It's conveniently located near one of the numerous shōtengai (local market streets) in the area and just a 10-minute walk from Himeji Castle and Kokoen (flower garden next to the castle). It's perfect for exploring the area or even if you plan on touring the nearby prefectures with a JR Pass.
