It has 3 amazing pools with a great view on the lake. It is surrounded by nature (and wild monkeys!!). The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Also the breakfast buffet is incredible. Finally, the staff is incredibly kind and professional. A special mention must go to Dulsha working in the Cafe Kachchan who made our stay all the more unique.

Tea/coffee making facilities are provided as well. Beautiful resort with spectacular views. Great food at the buffet. Friendly and helpful staff.

Air-conditioned guestrooms offer views of the garden. Each room is equipped with a minibar, tea/coffee making facilities and a flat-screen TV with cable channels. We were lucky enough to get a great deal and this hotel was incredible value for money. The room was spotless, the food was amazing (buffet) and the staff were friendly. The pool was clean and had an awesome view of Sigiriya Rock. The acoustic performers were very talented. We also had a Balinese massage which was also really nice!

A garden view, air conditioning, and an en suite with a rain-style shower or a bath are standard in all rooms. Dambulla Rock Arch extras include a desk, bed linen, and towels. What a marvelous find! Utterly charming accommodation just off the main road, but open to farmland at the back and surrounded by a lovely garden. You would never guess you are in the centre of a busy town. The rooms are probably the best we stayed in during our trip (including much more expensive hotels). Lovely comfortable bed with mosquito net tent. There is a separate kitchen area with a small fridge, kettle and tea/coffee supplies and plates and cutlery. There is also a space with a luggage rack and place to hang clothes. The bathroom is large with premium fittings and hot water. There is a nice terrace with chairs out front and even a little yard at the back with a washing line. The breakfast area is so lovely, partially open with a fish pond. And the breakfast was superb. Beautifully home cooked Sri Lankan food, with European options too. The family are very sweet and helpful and arranged a tour to Sigiriya, followed by an elephant safari at Minneriya. Absolutely wonderful. No hesitation in recommending this lovely place.

Located within a 10-minute drive from Dambulla town, the property is also 25 km from Sigiriya Rock Fortress and a 3.5-hour drive to Bandaranaike International Airport. Great stay, Mr. Nish and his team went out of their way to take care of us. The food was excellent, we even extended our stay by a night!

Every detail of the experience feels considered, from the beautifully curated interiors to the gentle rhythm of each day. The food was exceptional, and prepared and served with genuine hospitality. Ashburnham offers not just a break from the everyday, but a complete shift in pace. The whole fteam is gracious and attentive without ever being intrusive, and their warmth and professionalism enhanced the sense of calm and care. I travel a lot, and I don’t believe there’s anywhere quite like it, thank you Vish, Daniel and the team! We will return again I’m sure!
