The place is small with only a few rooms but with a lot of charm. Peaceful oasis in Puerto Escondido! Clean rooms, comfortable bed, plus a little balcony with a hammock and chair. I was worried I'd be too hot at night but I slept very well with the fans. The cats were very cute too, plus a quick walk to the beach, and a 5/10 minute walk to restaurants and bars. The owner was very helpful and very kind after I had an incident of sleep walking in the night! 😅 It felt secure and safe also.

The property also features a relaxing furnished terrace. Super nice place to stay in Oaxaca! Very clean and comfortable room, nice stuff, perfect location (5-7mins walk to the center keeps it quiet), and the breakfast was so delicious! I will definitely come back.

It’s perfect if you are travelling alone, since you will meet a community of very interesting guests who are choosing Las Mariposas since many years for their holidays in town. The location is definitely one of the best, very close to the heart of Oaxaca, and despite that, at night my room was very silent and peaceful. I couldn’t chose a better place to spend my vacation, and I will definitely come back in the future!

This is a charming and peaceful little hotel in the perfect location, right between the two main hubs of the zocalo and the Santo Domingo. Our room was spacious and clean with a really nice bathroom. Particularly loved the balcony windows and fresh flowers put out every day! Looks better in person than in photos. The staff were kind and helpful. We loved having breakfast on the main terrace every morning - the terrace and courtyard were beautiful! Can't recommend this hotel enough.

The rooms are spacious, with coffee makers and fridges and lovely big showers. Hot and cold water, great pressure. Every room has a small patio area with seats and a hammock too. The bathrooms are only swing doors so bear that in mind (but the patio and hammock makes it easy to give each other privacy). Would book again in a heartbeat, love this place
