Great location with nice Mountain View’s from back of the hotel. Great restaurant serving a good selection of local and western dishes, including the local steam boat meal experience. Great selection of local organized trips to the tea plantation and mossy forest.

The atmosphere here is wonderful, in all the places I've ever stayed, nothing compares to the view, ambiance and atmosphere. It's like stepping back in time in all the right ways. Spotless, comfortable, beautiful gardens.
We booked another night it was that good.

If you are sick of staying in 'chain ' hotels this is for you. The place is a renovated Tudor olde worldy building full of wonderful character. The gardens are magnificent. Rooms are a good size and clean. Breakfast ranges from full old english to continental. If you dine in for other meals they are really well prepared and very English in nature, for example a wonderful Beef Wellington. Staff are exemplary. A great boutique hotel and well recommended.
