We participated in ceremonies of their National Day ~ walking in a parade to church, singing at a school and senior's home. Our accommodation was so comfortable, meals delicious and presented beautifully.

This refurbished 1800s manor house is in Flåm, 200 metres from the Aurlandsfjord. It provides a restaurant, a large garden and free WiFi access. All rooms have views towards the Aurlandsfjord or the surrounding mountains. Very good Location, helpful and kindness staff and really good breakfast. It has a choice to Vegan.

Vangsgaarden Gjestgiveri is located in the oldest buildings in the village of Aurland. Situated on the shores of Aurlandsfjord, it offers wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. Guests can also enjoy free WiFi. We had cottage deluxe and the view was amazing. Cottage was so nice and cozy. Breakfast was really good and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Also great walking opportunities around the area. We really loved it there!!

Situated in western Norway’s Nærøyfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this waterfront hotel offers easy access to ferry boat fjord tours. Some rooms have skylights with views up to Kjelsfossen Waterfall. The location is perfect, just few steps from the Harbour. I loved the room decoration in Viking style with glass roof, at night, after all tourists are gone, you really feel isolated in a viking village surrounded by marvelous fjords. It's an incredible experience!

At the head of the famous Flåm Railway in Myrdal, this hotel is only accessible by train and sits high above Aurlandsfjord. It is not located very close to Myrdal station, it's located 1,5 km from Myrdal. It's not possible to walk to the hotel wintertime due to the snow conditions. We recommend to take the train one stop down from Myrdal to Vatnahalsen station. Important to check the timetable for the trains. It takes 30 minutes to walk summertime. It's NOT possble to drive by car to Vatnahalsen hotel. Beautiful setting , beautiful old hotel with nice staff. The breakfast was above and beyond.
