Ate at the restaurant for dinner each night and it was fabulous with a buffet breakfast included. amazing stay!

Expect lots of crowds when the ferries and busses start for the day but once they all leave around 6pm the place is all to yourself.. Nothing but you and the stunning nature.. Rooms are comfortable and sizeable, breakfast is decent.. Worth a stay for the view alone..

At the head of the famous Flåm Railway in Myrdal, this hotel is only accessible by train and sits high above Aurlandsfjord. It is not located very close to Myrdal station, it's located 1,5 km from Myrdal. It's not possible to walk to the hotel wintertime due to the snow conditions. We recommend to take the train one stop down from Myrdal to Vatnahalsen station. Important to check the timetable for the trains. It takes 30 minutes to walk summertime. It's NOT possble to drive by car to Vatnahalsen hotel. Beautiful setting , beautiful old hotel with nice staff. The breakfast was above and beyond.
